Dalek2003 Posted 1 June, 2011 Share Posted 1 June, 2011 Norwich very decisive in the transfer market again. Paul Lambert clearing out CCC players and bringing in 7 new players ready for pre season training in July. Matthew Le God Posted 1 June, 2011 Share Posted 1 June, 2011 You absolutely certain it wasn't 1 second past midnight? Yes, I am certain based on the exact wording of the transfer window rules. It says "midnight", so at midnight and not a second afterwards. The first Transfer Window in any year shall commence at midnight on the last day of the Season and shall end on 31st August next if a working day or, if not, on the first Working Day thereafter, at a time to be determined by the Board. Though obviously no-one would be available to process transfers at the FA's offices until the morning after, so it doesn't really matter.
Dalek2003 Posted 1 June, 2011 Share Posted 1 June, 2011 The point I was making is this. Last season Norwich acted decisively and I am sure that contributed to their success. I hope we don't have another close season of dilly dallying !

JackFrost Posted 1 June, 2011 Share Posted 1 June, 2011 Seems like cms off to the prem, posh have accepted a offer from a premier league side. Everton, QPR and Wigan all want him apparently. As for someone saying Makin was the worst ever player here, he may have been over the hill but worse than Bernard, Davenport or Jakobsson?! I don't think so
stu0x Posted 1 June, 2011 Share Posted 1 June, 2011 What's the point in this? Is it really just a list of every single player that every single forum user think would be a good signing? Okay, Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi, Vidic... I can see the point in doing this with a transfer rumours/ITK thread (mostly because it shows how much ******** some people on here talk!), but what difference does it make if someone thinks we should sign Player A and he goes to a different club? the scud Posted 1 June, 2011 Share Posted 1 June, 2011 Just to point out i havent put them stupid suggestions (such as Messi, Xavi etc) on the list which have been mentioned on the other thread. And the point? just thought that i would make it easier for people to read on what players we would like at club instead of scrolling through 20 pages with the same player mentioned about twice on each page. Sorry if this thread has annoyed you.

Gordon Mockles Posted 1 June, 2011 Share Posted 1 June, 2011 NNothing wrong with Makin, he was a competent full-back. We've had many worse in recent seasons. He was a snail & complete sh*te! He only came here as part of one of Burley's 'special' deals (I won't elaborate more). I'd love to see us get Cork in. Our midfield needs some consolidating & if Hammond can be pushed to back up/squad status, more the better. If Oxo goes which is likely (although I'd like to see one more season) then bring Danns in on a free, make a move for Pilkington & a pacey striker, then we've one hell of a squad. Esp. if we seal up the defence with a slightly more mobile centre back in the Jaidi role.

Actually, if you read the BBC article on this the Notts County manager has suggested that Harewood is getting Championship offers and that they put in an offer as its better to ask and not get anything then not ask and miss out on an opportunity. Which is more likely, Championship offers from those at the top or bottom? Last season he was on loan at relegation scrapping Barnsley, this summer Notts County are offering him a deal. Saints could do much better, Harewood is very much on the decline. Bids for players like Jack Cork show Saints' ambitions for the season. MerceSaint28 Posted 2 June, 2011 Share Posted 2 June, 2011 Well chaps...it looks pretty obvious to me that we are going to lose AOC....fine we are in a strong bargaining position...however why dont we insist on players plus cash. Looking at the Arsenal reserve team, it is scary how much talent they have Benik Ofobe Jay Emmanuel Thomas Sanchez Watt Kyle Bartley Emmanuel Frimpong Henri Lansbury Craig Eastmond Mark Randall To name just a few...now surely we can assume some would be interested in permanent Championship football?? Also with them wanting one of our players, we are in a much stronger bargaining position Thoughts???

Fantastic footballer with quality and saw a few of the games when he played at Norwich and looked like a very good wingman/attacking midfielder.
