dune Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Not nervous anymore. If we lose we've still got another chance.
charliegeorgesflymo Posted 2 May, 2011 Author Posted 2 May, 2011 good point - I must remember to breathe!!
doddisalegend Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Not really bonus match now. Being selfish I'd like to get second at SMS, as I'm not going to plymouth, thrashing Walsall to get autos would be nice.
View From The Top Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Not nervous at all. Leaving in an hour and expect to see us win.
InvictaSaint Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Can't be there so may need to be alone with my iPhone from 3pm....nervous....but strangely more confident than I thought I would be.
ericofarabia Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Was nervous till this little beauty put me at ease. When we got down on our knees i may have got a bit distracted as to what it was I should have been praying for though!!
Spudders Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Just getting ready to set off soon. Not nervous at all, just really excited. Looking forward to a fantastic day out and pretty confidant we can do this today meaning next Saturday we can chill. Hope I am right!
Mustapha Fag Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 if we dont win today we will win saturday no worries
Spades Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Im playing in a cup final this morning, or i would have been going along. Fair to say i have absolutely ZERO nerves about my game but am absolutely cacking it for Saints!! COYR lets do this the easy way. 5:00pm tonight lets be celebrating! A scrappy 1-0 with a goal off of goberns backside will do it. 3 points please
Quickfire Double Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Building material bowel-movements here. Given our luxuriously advantageous position in comparison to 'Udders, I really shouldn't be this worried. But I am.
pilsburydoughboy Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Awake at 6.15 thinking about the game. Have tidied the garden ,shed and garage. Will wash car again and then go to allotment. Must keep busy until 3 o clock then its radio in the garden and beer. Not nervous at all MUCH........
FreemantleSaint Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 I'm going to the game today and I'm getting big match nerves already! Don't really want it to go down to the final day.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Not as nervous as I would be if we were staring relegation in the face. FWIW I think we'll walk it today, I'm not nervous at all.
Toomer Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Would love to put it to bed this afternoon, although there is still an outside chance it could all go Pete Tong even if we win today but it would take a real cock up by us and Huddersfield would need overturn that large goal difference on Saturday.
saint lard Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Nervous?...i have just done my first double flush of the day. HTH
SO16_Saint Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Ordinarily you would see this as an away banker - 2nd top vs 2nd bottom. This isnt an ordinary match though. Still have it as an away banker. 2 up by half time, 3-1 full time. I'm on the bus, were all in the building, we have some good players around the place and they're all pulling in the same direction. COYR
beatlesaint Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 One minute I am nervous as hell, I think its the hope and expectation thats doing it. The next I am quite calm as I look at this as our "bonus" game, we have another chance if it goes tits up today. But I desperately want it fininshed today, I cant stand another week of this.
alpine_saint Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Doing my damnedest not to think about it. Failing dismally... Very, very nervous.
farawaysaint Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 My girlfriend confessed to cheating last night. This is on my mind more, my priorities are firmly in order
hutch Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 We could lose today and on Saturday, and still go up in second, never mind the play-offs. There's still a whole bunch of cherries left to bite on. No need for nerves.
alpine_saint Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 We could lose today and on Saturday, and still go up in second, never mind the play-offs. There's still a whole bunch of cherries left to bite on. No need for nerves. We've already played them 3 times, we dont want to play them 2 more times.
S-Clarke Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Would love to put it to bed this afternoon, although there is still an outside chance it could all go Pete Tong even if we win today but it would take a real cock up by us and Huddersfield would need overturn that large goal difference on Saturday. There isn't any chance!!! If we win today we are promoted and I will start celebrating.
alpine_saint Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 My girlfriend confessed to cheating last night. This is on my mind more, my priorities are firmly in order My compliments, sir.
alpine_saint Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 More excited than nervous How does one become Super Fisting Champion ? EDIT : Ah, fishing...
Fowllyd Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Fully expecting a win and yet another clean sheet; that said, I'll be very happy indeed when five o'clock comes - with no shadow!

saintoli Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Can't remember the last time i was this nervous! Sat at work and i cant keep still. Stupid really as we can afford to **** this up today and get the points needed on Saturday. Does that make it any easier though? No. If i smoke anymore tabs today my lungs might collapse.
Quickfire Double Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 My compliments, sir. And a tip of my electronic hat as well! A fine example of knowing what really matters!
saints-cris Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Excited, but bloody nervous! The hope that today could be the day.. Time is going to draaag.
Quickfire Double Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 What odds? On a 16 or 16 goal swing? So 0-8 v Walsall and Huddersfield win 8-0? I'd offer 10,000/1 on that. Even in the face of our abysmal defensive record this season, especially @ SMS?!
dune Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 there is still an outside chance it could all go Pete Tong even if we win today but it would take a real cock up by us and Huddersfield would need overturn that large goal difference on Saturday. Not a chance of us not going up if it comes down to goal difference.

LaptopSaint Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Strangely calm and confident. Got a lot of confident in the boys. Job done today I hope, and then party time at SMS on Saturday.
sadoldgit Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Given that we always seem to trip ourselves us with these games in hand it is a worry. But the form of late and team spirit should carry us through. We haven't been playing particuarly well but we have been winning. The good news is that it is in our own hands and we have an extra game. I am sure we shall be okay. Fair play to Huddersfield too. I hope they go up through the pay offs.
PaulSaint Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 I will need relaxing from 3-5, I reckon she could help?
ericofarabia Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 I will need relaxing from 3-5, I reckon she could help? Yep ..... The Saints are Cumming.

I hope they go up through the pay offs. Throughout March and April we've played 14 games; we've won 11 of those, drawn one and lost two. We've won at Brighton (the first visiting team to do so this season); we've won at the grounds of more than one apparent 'bogey' team. What will we do if we actually play well I wonder? Agree with you about Huddersfield though!
SW11_Saint Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Not that nervous actually - seen a real determination and belief in the team recently, and I think we'll do it. Not saying i'll be easy, but I do think a win is very achievable today. More pressure on Plymouth really, this is their last chance, we have one more...
bender Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 I keep having to keep reminding myself that if we lose this we still only have to beat Walsall at home in front of a full house at SMS. I think we will seize our chance today and Plymouth will always have it in the back of their minds that even if they win, they would still be likely to go down on Sat.
saint_jas Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Just got out of bed and feeling very nervous. Leave at 1pm, be in pub for a couple at 1:05 pm and then onto the match.

Agree with you about Huddersfield though! My point excactly. I think we have more in the locker. I don't think we have the best team in this league but we do have several of the best individuals. If we can win so often when we are not firing on all cylinders for 90 mins we should be home and dry if Adkins can get the whole team playing consistently through the ranks. But even if not, we have enough match winners in the side to get the job done.
