Tom8558 Posted 30 April, 2011 Posted 30 April, 2011 Assuming this will be a sell out, I would imagine several people who normally sit in the Northam/Kingsland will sit in the chapel. Thus, when people say singing 'there's only one markus liebherr' wouldn't work because we don't know the words, I would disagree with them. Your thoughts?
Spudders Posted 30 April, 2011 Posted 30 April, 2011 I would assume that as some people that sit in the Chapel use this forum, there will have already been people there who do know the words anyway, your thoughts?
Colinjb Posted 30 April, 2011 Posted 30 April, 2011 If they don't have the intuitive ability to pick up and sing 'There's only one Markus Leibherr, One Markus Leibherr.......' then I'ld rather they didn't bother trying to be fair.
70's Mike Posted 1 May, 2011 Posted 1 May, 2011 Block 20 of the Chapel contains many of us old boys, you need not worry about our ability to sing the right songs at the right time, and we will not be waving our season tickets at fellow saints supporters. it amazes me how any Saints fan worries about support, compared to most grounds SMS for games is very loud
dronskisaint Posted 1 May, 2011 Posted 1 May, 2011 'it amazes me how any Saints fan worries about support, compared to most grounds SMS for games is very loud' This I've been to 70+ grounds over the years and our support is better than most...although I do wish we could get all four sides going more often. Work is taking me to Guernsey on Saturday so won't be there but I expect to hear when we score!

I can't make all the games as I'm a student, it doesn't make me any less of a fan than those who can guarantee to be free at 3pm on a Saturday. That said I'll be in the Northam this coming Saturday - my dissertation is done!
John Boy Saint Posted 1 May, 2011 Posted 1 May, 2011 Cripes I sit in the Chapel, I had better blow the dust off my "how to be a Saints fan book"!! Like 70's Mike & Toomer I grew up on the Milton when it was a proper Terrace (and learned all my extensive bad language there).
Jesus Reigned Posted 1 May, 2011 Posted 1 May, 2011 I was in the Chapel for both the Sheff Utd survival match and P*mpey in the cup last season and the atmosphere was fantastic for both, so am expecting the same for the Walsall match.

Old boys and their own young boys! We're maybe just a little restrained due to the ladies around us. Although I must confess my song, when we went 3-2 up against the franchise, was less restrained. "Two nil and you fecked it up!"
Denzil Posted 1 May, 2011 Posted 1 May, 2011 I'll be second row from back in block 42 waving my season ticket around at all and saundry.
sfcalex4ever Posted 1 May, 2011 Posted 1 May, 2011 Super Saints fans that sit in the Northam are so much more of a fan than everyone else sitting in the Itchen, Kingsland and Chapel who pay money to support the Saints aren't they
latter day saint Posted 1 May, 2011 Posted 1 May, 2011 Super Saints fans that sit in the Northam are so much more of a fan than everyone else sitting in the Itchen, Kingsland and Chapel who pay money to support the Saints aren't they Yes. glad you know your place
half time pie Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Don't panic. Why is everyone having a go at season ticket holders who sit in different parts of the ground. We all have played our part through the seasons, whether it's singing in the Northam or shouting encouragment in other parts of the ground. As a season ticket holder in the Chapel (Block 19), there is plenty of noise from that end of the ground when roused. As Nigel Adkins says " TOGETHER AS ONE ".
