doddisalegend Posted 30 April, 2011 Posted 30 April, 2011 Is there any news on why Guly was subbed today? Solent said injury. Is there any other info or is the club doing the usual playing cards close to it's chest thing. I rather have Guly trying to unlock a 10man Walsall defence if it comes to a final day promotion push than Gobern (not that I have anything against Gobern I just think Guly would be more use).
Saint Garrett Posted 30 April, 2011 Posted 30 April, 2011 He was up in the home stand with Morgan, Martin, and NGuessen in the second half... injury but cant have been too bad.
Give it to Ron Posted 30 April, 2011 Posted 30 April, 2011 Adkins said he felt muscle tighten so bought off as a precaution.

He can be frustrating to watch but he seems capable of unlocking defences in tight games wouldn't want to lose him with two games to go.

Matthew Le God Posted 30 April, 2011 Posted 30 April, 2011 unlocking defences in tight games There is a chance Alex Chamberlain may be back for the Walsall game and Morgan Schneiderlin for the Plymouth and Walsall games.
doddisalegend Posted 30 April, 2011 Author Posted 30 April, 2011 There is a chance Alex Chamberlain may be back for the Walsall game. That would be good. Wouldn't mind seeing him in a saints shirt one last time (I really don't expect him to be here after the summer HTBH)
Jimmy_D Posted 30 April, 2011 Posted 30 April, 2011 That would be good. Wouldn't mind seeing him in a saints shirt one last time (I really don't expect him to be here after the summer HTBH) I think he'll still be here next season as he still has two years left on his contract. After that... hopefully we'll be able to keep him longer, just have to wait and see.

Probably had the same problem that I did during the match... His Taxi turned up early
SuperMikey Posted 30 April, 2011 Posted 30 April, 2011 Who said that? Saw Chambo and Morgan after the game, both of them seemed absolutely fine. Chambo didn't have any kind of trace of cast, brace or boot on his foot and was walking fine (mainly walking away from the hordes of people asking him for autographs while poor Lee Holmes stood there a few yards away from him completely ignored!). Morgan has been training with the squad for the last couple of weeks, so I guess he'll get a 10 minute cameo against Plymouth and may even get 45 minutes against Walsall. FWIW I think Chambo will stay, if we beat Plymouth on Monday then he'll be playing Championship football next year - not bad for a 17/18 year old. Who knows, he could even be playing in the Prem for us the year after!
niceandfriendly Posted 30 April, 2011 Posted 30 April, 2011 Guly was playing very well before he came off today, hope he's alright to start on monday.
70's Mike Posted 1 May, 2011 Posted 1 May, 2011 no worries when your winning injuries tend to clear up quicker
paulwantsapint Posted 1 May, 2011 Posted 1 May, 2011 If we win on mon could we risk having oxo & barney on bench for a late cameo against Walsall If guly not fit for mon put forte out wide right
