Should Brentford be giving us a guard of honour this Saturday? I think they should as there is a possibility of us being promoted come the final whistle. I think surely out of respect this deserves a guard of honour. Perhaps their players could clean our players boots after the game in respect of our massive achievement in winning promotion.

Is there anything else we should expect from Brentford should we gain promotion on Saturday?

I would have been fuming if we did one for Brighton, so Brentford shouldnt have to do one for us. Guard of honours are pathetic anyway, should be saved for testimonials.

Perhaps the Brentford players could also wear black armbands to mark our pending departure from League 1. Maybe we should write to the football league to get them special dispensation for shirts with 'Goodbye Southampton & Good Luck' instead of their names.

Quick, someone find the match report from when they beat us earlier this season and find a quote that we can write on big signs.

"I have to say out of the last five away games that we've won that was probably the most comfortable that we've been. " Andy Scott 11/12/10

Fill ya boots.

Get that flag that's planned for the Walsall match and somebody spray paint "ARE YOU COMFORTABLE NOW ?" on it, sharpish.

Thar'll learn 'em.

Surely we can't get mathematically promoted until Monday at the earliest?

Not mathematically but do you expect Hudderfield to over turn a 14 goal swing in their final game of the season?

Most teams should give us a guard of honour just out of gratitude for the opportunity to play us.

I imagine it's another reason why teams raise their game against us as they're desperate for us to grace this division for as long as possible. That's fair enough this lack of respect from small clubs is getting ridiculous. At least Doncaster gave us a picture of a train...

It would be a minimum of 15 goal swing by then - it's currently 13 and for us to win and them to lose in order to get the 3 point gap by Monday there's got to be at least a one goal difference both ways.

As for "mathematically", who's going to do the probability of Saints averaging two 5 goal defeats and Huddersfield winning by 5 as well ? And even then it would go to "goals scored".

It would be nice if the Brentford fans turned up in the traditional Southampton kit of red and white stripes as a mark of respect to our vastly superior team/fans.
