Right, so having recently discovered that apparently Brenford hate us too, I think we should compile a comprehensive list of why everyone hates us. That way, before every future fixture, we can just refer to this thread to know what we've done wrong if anyones ever unsure.

Please feel free to complete the following list (I've started the first couple):

Arsenal

Man City

Spurs

Bournemouth - because they're jealous of their bigger, more illustrious neighbours and have no proper rivals of their own.

Charlton - History between the two sets of fans.

Brighton - Same as Bompey.

Burnley - Pitch invasion against them.

..and most of the rest also hate us because we're a huge club, and they're all jealous.

Everton - We made them pay 6 million for James Beattie... and my didn't that work out for them.

To that end we could have Blackburn, with Kevin Davies. Sold for £7 million, we got him back for free a year later, although we did lose Ostenstadt in the process.

Good shout. Although we did buy him back for a reasonable sum..... and sold them Shearer.

No way - that one goes all the way back to Gordon Lee, Frozen Pitch & Orange Football

Palace - Because we all turned up at Elm Park one evening after our game was cancelled & joined in the Reading Fans

Reading - because we took their end at a home game that didn't involve us and then (most) of the massive ran away after inciting Palace to 'ave a go

Would it be easier to list the ones that don't hate us?

Funny thing is in most cases its not the clubs who hate us - ie players/manager/chariman etc its just some fan posting on a web site similar to this who remembers something that may or may not have happened years ago - David Bull's article in yesterdays matchday programme being a case in point.

I hate Everton.....well I hate Adrian Heath for the FA Cup semi final in 1984....and even though many players and teams have dumped on us in the 27 years since then he/they are still top of my list :-(

Appologies if I am giving my 'youth' away. ;)

I'm sure some of our veterans have some reasons from the Old Div 3, Div 2 days, as well as our earlier years in the top flight.

Orient - Their chairman said something about us at the start of last season. Can't remember what, but it wasn't very complimentary.

Leeds - Cheering that last minute goal by Hull in the CCC playoff season which sent them down. They chucked half an Evian factory into the Itchen North.

Palace - Fonte and Butter dropping a league to play for us.

Swindon - Giving it large after 4 consecutive wins. Bit quieter these days mind.

Plimuff - Think it's just a South Coast thing, although they're hardly local.

Newcastle - 3-3 draw to keep them out the Champs League in '04, plus Khalej putting Kieron Dyer in a coma 2 years earlier.

Dons - Beat them 4 times.

Charlton - Something about Maze Hill I think.

Brizzle Rovers - We nicked Rickie Lambert.

To be fair we cheered that Hull goal because it meant Stoke (who were our playoff rivals at the time) dropped points.
