I have seen shocking displays by Harding. I am yet to see a shocker from Dickson.

I can't understand why so many of you whack yourself off over DH. Is it because of his blonde floppy hair? Does that float alot of boats? Whatever it is, it seems he can do no wrong because of it.

Which games? Carlise away?

Agree with you about Dickson. Not put a foot wrong and he is a better offensive player.

Are you sh*tting me? Brentford at home, he just stood there and let Alexander shoot, didn't try to close down or anything.Kelvin then helped him out and let the ball roll in.

Quite different players in reality. Harding is very impressive defensively but there is less call for that this season. Perhaps this is why some say he was better last year? Dickson is probably better going forward but hard to tell having not started that many games. IMO neither of them are good enough for the premier league which is where we're aiming for, but that doesn't mean they won't both hack it in the Championship next year. Harding does lack a yard of pace but he makes up for it with hard work. Mr Reliable of the team and even though I'm not his greatest fan there are a few players I would replace/drop before him.

You weren't at the Cheltenham, Brentford or Manu games at SMS then? three awful displays from Dickson (the manU game was quite a feat as he was only on the pitch 17mins yet still managed to be shocking).

He might have a point with that one.......

TBF I think there are people like that sat alround SMS.

Maybe, but this is a season where we've made playoffs at least! WTF was he like the season we went down? :scared:

Awesome on Monday, PFA Team of the year.

Unsung hero?

Certainly time for some people to get off his back in my opinion.

I will admit that he's not been a favourite of mine and I still doubt that over a season he will be "as good as or better than we could hope for" in The Championship....but on Monday he was very good, the best I've seen of him!

experienced left back who knows what it takes to get promoted. Experienced in the championship and could provide us with good cover at left back on a short term deal, according to wiki not officially retired so might be worth bringing him back until the end of the season? Plus at 40 he'd be a great role model for young players.

David Peach might be up for  game as well.

Could be handy to bring off the bench in the event of a penalty shoot-out in the playoffs.

You know it makes sense. Meanwhile we'll trundle on with Manning.

Dickson is erratic because he sometimes gives the ball away when he shouldn't and sometimes misses tackles when he shouldn't.

Sounds perfect for us now.

(Going over old ground I know, but I always though Dickson a good player at that level, and was disappointed for him it didn't work out as well as it might have done).

Dennis Hollywood, he's yer man for left back. He taught George Best how to hurdle over six foot. Many a right winger was crashed unceremoniously into the wall at the Dell.

That's one for the real oldies on here..!!!

I remember him playing but I was too young to appreciate the finer points of his game you refer to.

Great player but if you want rock hard call up Joe Kirkup. The man was chiseled out of granite.
