JustMike Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 i really did expect a bit more than that, considering it was a top of table clash
pap Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 There was tons more coverage of the Huddersfield game (missed chances, etc). They really don't like talking about us, do they?
Fan The Flames Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 I thought they would show a bit more of the game and there was no build up scenes, surely the beeb has a responsibility to feed the worlds demand to see the Third Division Champions. I know I'm left unsatisfied.
beatlesaint Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Is that it ? Fkin hell, glad I didnt stay up for that.....pathetic.
hamster Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Confirms what we told the Brighton fans Noone cares about you or us
Barry the Badger Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 If we go up I am looking forward to actually getting decent highlights on a Saturday night every once in a while.
Dazza82 Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 That presenter is an idiot Brighton are our arch rivals and Exeter are doing well under Peter Tisdale!? Seriously!
Macey_J2 Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 **** coverage. Nothing between their goal and out first. No Lambert hitting the post.
hamster Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 No Guly smashing the ball like a mentalist. Actually it was happening so fast, did Guly juggle the ball before he let rip? Maybe I dreamt it?
John Boy Saint Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Like I have said before, I am quite happy with us being under the radar for the moment. That said with this being the first TV show since Brighton were made champions you would have thought they would have given the game more coverage, and even more so the fact that we piddled on their parade. Nice the Spirites got the Champions treatment, that must have smarted for B&H fans!!!!
pap Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 The Football League show, while tons better than the Championship, falls needlessly far from the production values of the programme that precedes it. The Match of the Day title sequence features a roll-call of Premiership legends, the Football League show a weird beardstear flailing a scarf about to a theme tune that's more in keeping with a toddlers show. It's as if the Beeb is saying that if you don't support a Premier League team, you're some kind of nutcase. Manesh fluffs his lines and gets stuff wrong every week. I would rather they removed the fan-feedback section altogether. The show needs to be twice as long and half as cack.
Chez Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 I record the show and watch the next day and fast forward through the emails. Does anyone, anywhere actually enjoy that section of the show? Who the ****s bothers to email in?
sfc4prem Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 It's such a small time show. Cannot wait to get back into the PL.
supersonic Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 I know it isn't 100% Saints related, but it is to do with the FLS, Is it me, or did Martin Allen (Notts County manager) sound ****ed when talking about that Jonathan Douglas volley....which btw was bloody unlucky not to go in!!
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 I am happy with the saintsplayer`s highlights/radio solent commentary
pap Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Me too. It's a little bit delayed, but I think it's decent value for money. In truth, I have more access to Saints now than when we were in the Prem. Technology, eh? Blooming marvellous.
NY Saint Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Saintsplayer's commentary was incredibly unreliable for me, but the highlights when there is no coverage of anything beyond PL and Champions league here is fantastic. If you have an iPhone and don't mind watching the highlights on your phone the Football League app is worth the subscription, for me at least. Portable Saints goals on demand -yes please. Now if only there was a "Saints being able to put the ball in the net more efficiently" app... Football League show is a joke particularly the fans corner... which I watched once and skipped over. I take it there are no salient points a la 606 phone in... Oh.
Deppo Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 That presenter is an idiot Brighton are our arch rivals and Exeter are doing well under Peter Tisdale!? Seriously! But they ARE doing well under Peter Tisdale. 7 won in a row, in fact. Can't hold that against them.
jawillwill Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 But they ARE doing well under Peter Tisdale. 7 won in a row, in fact. Can't hold that against them. Have they? The BBC website says they've gone 0 games since a win.
voteforpedro Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Have they? The BBC website says they've gone 0 games since a win. ...which means they won thier last game. Looking at their results they've won their last five and pushing for a play off spot, quite impressive!
krissyboy31 Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Is that it ? Fkin hell, glad I didnt stay up for that.....pathetic. I did and was well ****ed off with it. No more than the highlights Baj posted up several hours earlier.
Barry the Badger Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Have they? The BBC website says they've gone 0 games since a win. Maybe they're just biased against teams who play in Red and White?
Fan The Flames Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 I don't get why people are so down on the FLS, so what that the title sequence doesn't show footballers and yeah the email bit is pointless but at the end of the day you are guaranteed to see Saints goals every week. Before the FLS you would have to hope to snatch the final goal of the game on the news.
Ashley Grute Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 I think its because it should be Paul Tisdale, not Peter!
saints-cris Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYVx0TUQCno Goal 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-2xoR-fTes Goal 2 madness (love the silence!)
SW11_Saint Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Don't like that texting thing - though the bloke is better than the blonde woman - but was so incensed by Poyet's post-match comments I felt duty bound to text... And part of it got read out. Was hoping it'd spark a bit of a debate about it, but no such luck. Surprised the highlights were so short, but still good to see our goals again.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Wehey you can see me celebrating Fonte's goal, love it.
SW11_Saint Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYVx0TUQCno Goal 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-2xoR-fTes Goal 2 madness (love the silence!) Superb!
leithsaint Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Watching the highlights on saints player, you can see after saints first, Connolly strikes a pose in front of the fans, but Lambert is just interested in getting the ball back to the centre circle, and Lallana is practically pushing Connolly back to Saints half. Love that attitude of, 'lets get on with it, still time to win this!'
Saint_John Posted 25 April, 2011 Posted 25 April, 2011 The BBC extended highlights are now available http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/9466955.stm
Legod Third Coming Posted 25 April, 2011 Posted 25 April, 2011 Don't like that texting thing - though the bloke is better than the blonde woman - but was so incensed by Poyet's post-match comments I felt duty bound to text... And part of it got read out. Was hoping it'd spark a bit of a debate about it, but no such luck. Surprised the highlights were so short, but still good to see our goals again. Great - the more people who text, the more they think we give a s*** which we don't. Football fans are full of s*** which we have to put up with every week, every pub conversation and every 606. Why not just SHOW football and let people talk about football for the other 6 days 23 hours when this god-foresaken excuse for a football programme is not on?
Jonnyboy Posted 25 April, 2011 Posted 25 April, 2011 Wehey you can see me celebrating Fonte's goal, love it. Come on then everyone, who was it that got to him first?
Jonnyboy Posted 25 April, 2011 Posted 25 April, 2011 The BBC extended highlights are now available http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/9466955.stm Well at least that's better than the Football league show.
