Poyet compares us with Dagenham and Redbridge

Just heard this interview, what an A1 ****!!!!! we kick the ball in the box and thats it!!! when people look back at this championship in ten years time, they will see champions that passed the ball, fact!! Only fact is that no one will remember this season!!!!! Good luck next year cock!!!

Deary me Gus, deary me. You sound as small time as some of your fans.

As you say winning the Third Division title is no more than a stepping stone into the Leagues above and I doubt whether many could name you the last three winners, let alone who won it ten years ago. I presume it was Norwich, S****horpe (due to the Adkins connection) and then ???

It's a sh1tty league and we are deservedly down here for being sh1tty in recent years, but in all honesty no one gives a fook and the only aim is to get out of this division by any means possible. You'd think he'd won the Premier League.

Small time Gus, small time (next time take a breather and give a more considered interview after being stuffed at home).

But our manager does not wave imaginery cards to influence the ref, or encouage fake dramatics to see opponents sent off. What would you like to say to that Gus, you ugly cheating bastard ?

Haha - quality from Poyet. He missed out Fonte as well, otherwise how have D&R conceded nearly double what we have?

Schneiderlin always struck me as a player who might not go amiss in Dagenham's midfield, and Lallana, well I expect the Daggers were the only club to make an enquiry last window.

Bloody hell that makes Wenger seem gracious.

Way over the top with the stick he was giving us.

We went route one for one game. Did I miss something but I thought we passed it for the rest of the season like them. Get over yourself.

Sad thing is IF we go up we will have to put up with this non existent rivalry next season. Least we will have Pompey

I can't believe what a sore loser he is.Hope the link works.http://www.seagulls.co.uk/articles/20110423/video-poyets-saints-verdict_2264458_2345400/0,,10433~2345400~1,00.html

of course he's done a great job in winning the title, regardless of the shabby tactics sometimes used.

(the old Leeds sides of the 70/80's were much worse!)

...but I genuinely believe that they will struggle next season. CCC football is very different to L1.

Having spent £20 million plus on a new stadium, they might fill it every game at the start, but might well be glad of another £20 mill.for a player budget - if they are to make a genuine challenge for the Premiership. we'll see.

The really funny thing is this:

we destroyed Brighton's "passing game" in the match at SMS and the only time they looked even remotely capable of scoring a goal was when they put a bigger striker on and played kick and rush

I will look out for brightons results next season a little bit now... Seeing how brilliant they now are.

Thing is, the NPC is overall a step up in class week in week out. Brighton will not be on the front foot as much next season. No way. And we see today how they now react when things don't go their way.

Will we do better than them next year? Who knows.. What we do have, is a manager that can and does change the system/tactics to suit the game in question..!

That's a very good point you raise there. Brightons game plan is revolved around them having time on the ball, lots of possession, passing it around, exploiting space etc. They don't really play another way. As you said the league above us a step up, players are fitter and stronger and Brighton will not have as much time or free space with the ball.

I don't think we play 'hoofball'' all the time either, I think we intelligently mix it up and play to our strengths. Some of our goals this year have been fantastic footballing goals, yet some of them have been punts down the field, flick on and a goal. I honestly think you get more success in the championship by having a mixture of both - I thought this when we were in there with Burley, we played some great stuff but then Derby mixed it up a bit more and got the success from that.

Has he been taking lessons from Fergie? When your team win, you are brilliant. When the other team win, you must have been playing below your best, a bad day at the office.

We give you credit for winning the division, so kindly have a bit of humility and accept that today we were the better team, playing the better football, with more possession, more chances, more spirit.

Perhaps you'll wake up tomorrow, read or listen to what you said and reflect that its made you look like a bit of a prat.

Poyet has embarrassed himself and having just won the league there was really no need for it either. It's even worse than that nomark at Bournemouth Mitchell. It reminds me of Colchester sniping at Norwich all of last season - fat lot of good it did them when Paul Lambert took Norwich back there and hammered them. I expected banter but the front of that programme is simply pathetic. I really hope if we'd been in Brighton's position that we wouldn't behave like that - I know about the Hoddle/Spurs stuff etc but it stopped as soon as Hoddle was sacked after a couple of years of utter failure there. They brought on Murray and went direct at SMS in Nov or does Poyet not remember that? In which case he really is becoming Arsene Whinger Jnr.

The goals weren't hoofball. Last ten minutes, need to win one goal down, Butterfield gets down the touchline and crosses to the penalty spot, Lambert nods down to Connolly who spins left and shoots into the right hand corner of the goal. Two minutes to go and we have a free kick five yards into our half on the left touchline, Davis hits a deep cross to the back of the box, Fonte attacked the ball and nodded over the goalkeeper into the net with Lambert following the ball into the net.

I've seen plenty of similar Brighton goals like this on tv this year and more than their share of scruffy goals like their first today. What did he expect Saints to do in the last ten minutes needing a win. The simple fact, his defence didn't cope with the pressure and folded. The man is a knob, following in the footsteps of many one eyed managers without the good grace to give credit where it is due.

The Amex has cost close to £100m. They also are planning for a £15m training ground.

I believe Poyet is French is he not, if so he is in the same mould as Wenger, another sore loser, to compare us with the Daggers is not only insulting to us, but to Daggers as well, suggesting the only difference is Lambert.

I rate poyet as a manager and if we did not have Adkins I would snap him up in a blink, but this kind of five year old behaviour because he did not get his way today, is frankly very unbecoming. Grow up Gus and get over it, you won the league, congratulations, but today you got beat by the better team.

Why can't he be in the same mould and not be French?
