Gemmel Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Not nice. But we have had enough heartache over the years, so I hope you all throughly enjoy this read. If it were a book, it would be one of the best I've ever read. http://downatthemac.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=56280&page=1
Saintandy666 Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Ahhhhhhhhh, they seem like an alright lot! I'm just glad we won today. But I still hope we get Auto, and Bournemouth go up through the playoffs. That way, there will be lots of local games next year.
red&white56 Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Just imagine how our forum would have been if we had lost! A 22 game unbeaten record is pretty awesome, so if it is them in the play-offs they look a good bet!
Ohio Saint Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 I always liked Brighton in the past, so this is kinda hard on me.......But the way they have been going on? Way worse than just the average mongs. Even their taters were carrying on like bitter little *****s. I've lost all respect for them.
Crab Lungs Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 And they're still banging on... http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?199731-SCC-will-not-do-guard-of-honour I much prefer: http://askadkins.info/

CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Why do so many other clubs (Brighton/Bmth and some on this Huddersfield forum) seem to consider that SFC is a particularly "arrogant" club ? With the possible exception of a handful of over active posters on here as far I can see this team, its manager, and the vast majority of our fans behave themselves admirably. Is this a (over)reaction to our 'high profile' Chairman, or just plain old fashioned jealousy ?

Saint_Jonny Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 I have to live in Huddersfield for most of the footy season so you can imagine how much I enjoyed going above them again today. ****ing brilliant.
Saint_lambden Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Was funny one of them saying: "Brighton don't lose at home, they'll still win this". And: " They keep grinding out results - arrogant ****s".....
Right sider Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Loved that, was really interesting watching their world fall apart. Wonder if they looked on here during their match with Posh when we were all over the place.
Crab Lungs Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Shame it can't be Hudders instead of Brighton.
corky morris Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Got a lot of time for Hudders. Much rather them than BHA after their antics.
St Chalet Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Got a lot of time for Hudders. Much rather them than BHA after their antics. this. Would like to see them or B'Mouth go up over Posh or Franchise.
saints-cris Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Got a lot of time for Hudders. Much rather them than BHA after their antics. Same, I'd like Hudds to go up, as long as they do it in the playoffs. P'boro will do nothing if they go up, Boyd and CMS will naff off n they'll have nothing left, MK Dons meh, the rest will do very little in he Championship imo.
Acetripper Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 First of all well done Southampton on a tremendous win. In was in my local at 4.45pm having what I thought was a celebratory drink after realising Brighton were leading 1-0, sorry but you'd have been doing the same if it was us. Anyway, while I was at the bar getting another my eyes drifted on to the TV screen again and there it was 1-1, Bloody Hell! By the time I'd been served and sat down again it was 1-2 and match over, Jeeeeeeesus Chrrrrrrrist. How did you do that? The only thing for us now is try to win our own games and see how you get on! Like I say, great and vital win for your lads. Well done!
Thedelldays Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Got a lot of time for Hudders. Much rather them than BHA after their antics. indeed..like their lot and the run they have been on is amazing. to go over half a season un beaten and still not make 2nd would be mental..
saintscottofthenortham Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 indeed..like their lot and the run they have been on is amazing. to go over half a season un beaten and still not make 2nd would be mental.. Would be a great example of quite how well NA has done though...

The pressure we are putting on each other is emmence.
September Saint Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 schadenfreude Isn't he out for the rest of the season?
Thedelldays Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Would be a great example of quite how well NA has done though... it would...would put into perspective when people say he has been average since being here
Sheaf Saint Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Re: Brighton V Saints Thread « Reply #202 Today at 10:01am » no praise for town from claridge and company last night they only see southampton. They may be right but its not over yet ???????????????????????????? How does he work this out??? Claridge has never made any secret of his hatred towards Southampton and still cannot bring himself to praise us in any way despite our current position.
Sheaf Saint Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Does anybody know why Brighton and Hudds fans call us SCC?
Acetripper Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Does anybody know why Brighton and Hudds fans call us SCC? No idea!
Rory Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 South Coast Club, in reference to the blackout from the Sun earlier in the season.
Fan The Flames Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 South Coast Club from News International when we banned photographers. But secretly Brighton see us as their South Coast Cousins, we're the cooler, harder cousin into better music and nicer birds and Brighton are the ones trying to hang out with us and coughing on their fag.
RonManager Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 I think they refer to all other clubs by their broad geographical location.
VectisSaint Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Just read the thread, amazing it is just like reading threads on our own board, even down to the slating of Claridge. I guess all boards are the same in the end.
Lighthouse Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Does anybody know why Brighton and Hudds fans call us SCC? South Coast Club. A reference to The Sun's infantile anti-Cortese campaign for those who don't remember.
Acetripper Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Just read the thread, amazing it is just like reading threads on our own board, even down to the slating of Claridge. I guess all boards are the same in the end. I recently resigned my membership of DATM mainly because I got sick of the attitudes of some members. If anyone holds a view that differs from perceived norms they're systematically subjected to insults and abuse. And...Don't ever mention politics because they tend to hit you with the Johnny Whitebread crap the boarders on rightwing nationalism. There are some level headed types but they tend to keep quiet rather than confront the ones with the vicious one line put downs. Now if these message boards are like that then we do indeed have something in common:lol:
revolution saint Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 I like Huddersfield and hope they go up (via the play offs obviously!). We were in the same position last season when we were trying to get play offs and they kept winning so maybe it's our turn now. We've had two outstanding turnarounds now with MK Dons and Brighton so hopefully it's our season!
Under Weststand Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 I particularly liked the F**K off Le-Tissier W**ker post when the 2nd went in ROTFPMSL
Midfield_General Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Isn't he out for the rest of the season? Yes, and I'm glad.

Skip to page 3 and read from "how long left? 78 mins?" Its the alternate reality of being in our match thread yesterday prior to the 78s minute.
Jimmy_D Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 epicaricacy Still, I reckon the SCC thing is obviously because we're the only club on the south coast actually worth mentioning.
Deppo Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Huddersfield will probably be disapointed that we won. It doesn't matter too much though. Us winning wont harm their chances in getting the third automatic promotion spot.
Ohio Saint Posted 24 April, 2011 Posted 24 April, 2011 Skip to page 3 and read from "how long left? 78 mins?" Its the alternate reality of being in our match thread yesterday prior to the 78s minute. Hehe. I'd had a few sherberts when I made that first post. I went to that link and thought I was on the Seagulls site. My remark was about how empty the thread was considering the game. I've read it properly (And sober) now though, great read!!

I'm with you guys. I would have far preferred it to be us and Hudders in the auto spots. Should we get the 2nd spot I shall be supporting them in the play-offs.
