shurlock Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Ankergren was one of the worst offenders today - repeated time-wasting, tried to get chaplow sent, went down as if he had been shot in the head, gave the fingers to the saints fans. Best moment though was seeing him sprint to retrieve the ball after they went behind. All that time-wasting wasn't so clever then. Ask any CCC team/fan who they fear most next year - a promoted BHA or us (should we make it), and its pretty obvious what the answer would be.
Chin Strain Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 I think one of the things that really grates with Brighton (fans, manager, Board etc) is that, in their heart of hearts, they just know that their players would jump ship and join us given half a chance (assuming same league). It's the same thing with Bournemouth. That's not being arrogant, but it's just the way it is. If we're honest, it was exactly the same when we had our little vendetta with Spurs - the natural pecking order in English football means the bigger clubs are always going to draw the players. Sure, for a year or two we were close in the table, and even above Spuds, but they've got bigger resources, more fans and can pay bigger wages.
