I'm 37 years old, and I dont think the future has ever looked so good for Saints. So I'm going to chose something that wont of had an affect on where we are today and tell Strachan to really go for it in the Cup final. I'd love to have seen us win.

You only get one go back though, so what if we'd lost 6-1 again, as we had when we played Arsenal two weeks before?

Actually, quite a few of these fall down due to requiring multiple visits... we can't use that much plutonium !

Also, would nuking Anfield really have stopped the riot at Heysel, which was at least partially driven by elements from the NF and Combat18 ?

wtf???

I'd have done the same with "Maradonna" and "Gullet", but more due to the weird disjuncture between recognising them as some of the greatest and most familiar players of all time, yet still not being able to spell their names.

As you've hinted, Gallas doesn't even make the "best two French centre-backs of the past 12 years" list IMHO.

Fair enough, they were pretty good back then. I'd still like to have been to a cup final where we made a bit of a fight of it. I didn't think that we could win after about the first 5 mins - it was all a bit of a let down really. It was a great day out, apart from the football.

...well done, now its time to start messing around with things so you begin to disappear from photos in the future, and stuff.

So, which one single event in Saints history would you go back and tweak (for better or worse) ?

Bonus points for creativity and obscurity... like giving Sturrock a napkin at breakfast, etc.

NB : If this ends up in a Lowe-based row I will not be impressed. :x

The9 has the 'hand of Omega' !!!! This must be located and the Daleks will go back to 2004. All opposition by the vocal few to the appointment of Glenn Hoddle will be eliminated !!!!

SFC will remain in the premiership and with the help of the Daleks will exterminate all other football teams with resounding 10-0 victories.

SFC and the Daleks will then reign supreme !!!

6 hours and 12 minutes.

Very poor effort

I'd imagine a fair few of them would have been Scousers however. Nuking Anfield would have got rid of a lot of the Liverpool fans responsible.

I would go back to Feb 10th 2010 and give Registrar Christine Derrett one, she would enjoy the action so much that she begs me to nail her again. When I refuse, she takes her bad mood out on the Skates the next day and winds the business up.

Go back to may 95

tell Alan Ball to sign new contract with pay rise & tell MLT to have an operation to cure his dodgy heal tendon

Bally would have led us well with fit MLT having the ball given to him all the time to win games

I'm with you, I was going to say I'd go back and make sure that Fab Fabrice started the game... we'd probably have got spanked but.... who knows?

I guess if I had a time machine I would go fishing with my grandad one last time, and have a couple of beers with him. Top bloke.

Definate quote of the day imo :)

I'd go back to the mid-nineties and invite Markus to a game at The Dell, see if he fancied a little project.

I'd also get him a camera and a huge empty photo album.

go back and tell Walcott just before he leaves us that he'd win more silverware staying with us than he would by moving to Arsenal over the next 6 years ;)

:toppa::adore:

Quality, well done

I'd go to the year 3000.

I'd probably find that not much has changed but we live underwater, which in itself would mean a lot had changed really.

I'd also find that your great great great granddaughter is pretty fine.......if i fancied a 400 yr old.

Oh, and saints have made the league 1 playoffs btw.

I would go back and ban the name De Pedro from ever appearing on any Saints Fans forum. I can't believe we spent hours talking/writing about him!

I would go back to a time when StanthemanFairOak had hair. and not just out of his ears!!

March 17 1979. 89th min and Terry Curran thru on Shilts.

Make him square the bloody ball to Sealey and we would have done them in extra time.

From there to 1991 and a small push on Guy Askham at the top of a flight of stairs before he gets round to offering Branfoot a job.

I would go forward to tomorrow morning having borrowed Harry Potters invisability cloak get into Brightons dressing room and put a powerful laxative in their refreshments.

Change it to 'uddersfield and we'll talk

lots already mentioned one that i was talking about with my old man(77) was i often wonder what would have happenned if the club had built a new ground near where Toys r Us are now, back after the 76 final, the Man Utd of the South Coast?

Great minds and all that - I was just thinking exactly the same thing, but I couldn't remember which match Williams was injured in. With him fit all season we would pretty certainly have won the FA Cup, and had a real go at the league as well.

Yes can still remember trudging dejectedly away from Highbury after that semi-final with my nephew. Lawrie Mac made a big mistake in playing Stevie Williams that day. By the way and going off topic, I rate him as second only to Le Tiss as Saints all time greatest. (My time that is)
