On the off chance someone on here may be able to help.

I'm trying to organise a friendly against me and my mates in Berlin, Germany. We are all over there June 30th->July 3rd and I'm trying to organise a friendly either 2nd or 3rd of July. We are all of mixed ability. If any of you on here have any mates out there that would be up for playing us or can contact someone to organise a match then please let me know.

(It's a long shot but worth a try!!!)

Cheers

Find yourself a german speaker and get them to post this on the Hertha Berlin fans site.

You're bound to fond an English speaking german who will deal with you direct pretty quickly I reckon. Hope you'll all bs donning your saints shirts?

I reckon this is the best bet, you might find a few of them would happily go on the beers with you afterwards and show you the best places to go - Berlin is definitely a place where local knowledge goes a long way when it comes to a night out.

One of my mates is Anglo-German and knows Berlin quite well. I should be speaking with him later this week, if you are still stuck I could ask him to compose a post for you to put on a baryta forum. You find the forum and I'll get the translation sorted on your behalf.

Just say the word mate.

In all seriousness.

Cheers hamster

There will be 12 of us going. I was hoping for a full game but I think it would be more realistic with a five/six-a-side match with rolling subs. Most of us are average players, nothing special, but there are a couple that have played at a high level in the Hampshire league and a couple of them will be beginners (so shin pads required!!!). It would be ideal if I can organise the match on Saturday 2nd July in the afternoon. We're staying right in the centre of Berlin (Warschauer Platz) so should be able to get to most places using public transport. And in response to an earlier post, Yes!!! we will definitely be wearing the red and white stripes ;-)
