Baj Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 Vettel by far the quickest in quali again, ahead of jenson and lewis. What are peoples predictions for tomorrow. With the sort of consistency and speed that vettel is putting in, I can't see anything but another 25 points for the german. Should be interesting watching webber start from 18th!
Pugwash Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 Another win for Vettel and second for Button again. Alonso for third.
doubleonothing Posted 17 April, 2011 Posted 17 April, 2011 Fantastic race! Something seemed to be happening the whole time. Won't post the result for those who want to watch the re-run. Highlight has to be Jenson turning up in the wrong pit box though.
Baj Posted 17 April, 2011 Author Posted 17 April, 2011 Bet Jensons one of those annoying ****s at a petrol station who wont drive on to the next pump to let someone else in behind!
Lighthouse Posted 17 April, 2011 Posted 17 April, 2011 I think Jenson may have given Ferrari an idea. Next time they need to get Alonso past someone, they wait until their pit stop, then call Massa in to park in the other guys pit stop. Awesome race though.
Jimmy_D Posted 17 April, 2011 Posted 17 April, 2011 The tyres bought in strategy and opportunities for overtaking, the KERS and DRS meant those opportunities could actually be taken when they were there if a driver was brave enough... this was exactly what they were looking for when they bought in these regs.
Pugwash Posted 17 April, 2011 Posted 17 April, 2011 Another win for Vettel and second for Button again. Alonso for third. That's why I don't bet...
Ponty Posted 28 April, 2011 Posted 28 April, 2011 Quick stat. The 2011 Chinese GP featured the most on-track overtakes (85) of any Grand Prix in history.
Baj Posted 28 April, 2011 Author Posted 28 April, 2011 awesome Do you guys know yet where DRS windows will be on the track? Was wondering where they would be on Monaco, I know start finish straight is obvious but it would be epic if it was in the tunnel, especially with having to slam on the anchors for the nouvelle chicane

JackFrost Posted 28 April, 2011 Posted 28 April, 2011 Isn't the DRS window by default on the speed trap of the circuit ie. the fastest part? Unless they changed it for safety reasons it would have to be the tunnel at monaco i'd have thought
Crispypie Posted 28 April, 2011 Posted 28 April, 2011 i would be surprised if they have one at monaco. I'm sure i heard someone say its not going to be used on every one.
Ponty Posted 28 April, 2011 Posted 28 April, 2011 There won't be one at Monaco. That's almost a certainty.
Julian H. Cope Posted 28 April, 2011 Posted 28 April, 2011 There won't be one at Monaco. That's almost a certainty. Then it will be very very tedious. As it always is.
hamster Posted 28 April, 2011 Posted 28 April, 2011 Anyone else heard the rumour about the fracas in the grandstand? Apparently everybody was Kung Fu fighting.

Ponty Posted 29 April, 2011 Posted 29 April, 2011 Then it will be very very tedious. As it always is. The new tyres might shake things up, with multiple pit stops a possibility, but, let's face it, Monaco isn't on the race calendar because it produces exciting racing.

We've even had accidents behind the safety car going though there. (Montoya and Schumi in '04) Cheered my arse off.
