dubai_phil Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 As I won't be there, don't know if I can take 90 plus mins by the radio today. Prozac helps. Failing that I believe Old Speckled Hen has healing properties
dune Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Been watching the snooker. Dave would make a good mate for John Virgo.
bowers-sfc Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Lallana and connoly on bench. Forte and do prado starting.
corsacar saint Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Must win game today,or draw at least, the way Huddersfield are grinding out results it is possible they will win at Brighton next week[brighton are far more likely to be up for today than next week]. A defeat today and we will almost certainly have to win our last 4 games, which the way we played at Rochdale and home to Rovers is a very tall order. As Poyet says we have the best players, but he has the best team. Do we have the bottle to show we are the second best team,I pray we do and do not end up in the lotterty of the play offs. If we do not go up this year, the repercussions losing players etc are unthikable.
DrunkenSaint Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 I predicted a draw but with the way we're playing i think we will lose, all these injuries late into the season is screwing us up. I'll be a very happy man though if we get anything out of it.
Dalek2003 Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 If we lose today, people should avoid throwing themselves off the Itchen Bridge. At worst we will end up in the play offs and we need to go into these feeling positive about our chances. I think that we should give 2nd a go, but it is not the be all and end all !
Jimmy_D Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13103055.stm Chamberlain only a doubt according to BBC... In line for a return before the end of the season?
K,Billy's supersound Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 never know what with the nice hot weather some brighton players might not give 100% effort and take it easy. hope for a wiin. be pleased with a point mot the end of the world if we lose. COYR'S
Jonnyboy Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Im still looking for 2 tickets for today. Can offer face value
Saint Garrett Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Gobern starts. Stephens Lallana Nguessen and Connolly on bench
Saint Garrett Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Saints Vs Brighton (4-3-3). Davis. Butterfield, Fonte, Jaidi, Dickson. Hammond ©, Chaplow, Gobern. Guly, Lambert, Forte On the bench for Saints today are: Bialkowski, Richardson, Seaborne, Stephens, Lallana, Connolly and N'Guessan
beatlesaint Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Saints Vs Brighton (4-3-3). Davis. Butterfield, Fonte, Jaidi, Dickson. Hammond ©, Chaplow, Gobern. Guly, Lambert, Forte On the bench for Saints today are: Bialkowski, Richardson, Seaborne, Stephens, Lallana, Connolly and N'Guessan I notice Jordan Sibley says its a 4-3-3 set up but to me that will be a 4-5-1 line up.
beatlesaint Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Lallana on the bench. Fook. If Lallana doesnt start on Monday then that just shows he is nowhere near fit IMHO despite all these "he is ready" comments that come from NA.
Saint_Jonny Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Sort of game Chaplow will be bang up for I reckon, maybe why Adkins has gone with him over Stephens. Gobern bursting forward from midfield - hes looked good when hes come on and done that as a sub this season. COYS!
Gis Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 In the Brighton south stand again this year. Really nervous about this game. It's scorching hot, a day for guly I hope.
Window Cleaner Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 If Lallana doesnt start on Monday then that just shows he is nowhere near fit IMHO despite all these "he is ready" comments that come from NA. I thought that NA said "he's close" when asked about Lallana in this week's build up.Should never have played him against Rochdale (IMHO of course) especially as we lost anyway.
THEVMAN Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 If Lallana doesnt start on Monday then that just shows he is nowhere near fit IMHO despite all these "he is ready" comments that come from NA. Adam is trying to be saved for a start on monday, has been training all week but i think starting him today would be a a step to soon.
Dalek2003 Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Hard to call this game. Wort holding back Lallana and camberlain for the playoffs, when Spiderman and Barnyard may also be ready !
beatlesaint Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Adam is trying to be saved for a start on monday, has been training all week but i think starting him today would be a a step to soon. Thankyou, that makes sense, we simply HAVE to win Monday regardless what happens today.
Cestrian Saint Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 We'll lose today. Sadly I don't see us getting automatic promotion and I think we could well miss out in the play offs. I'll be over the moon to see us go up but I do feel this season has been a bit disappointing. I thought we'd run away with the league - Promoted as champions by Easter. I certainly didn't expect to see us battling with the likes of Huddersfield for an automatic promtion place. Gus Poyet is spot on. We may have some great players but there are other clubs with far better team spirit than Saints.
Viking Warrior Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 If we lose today Alpine will be unbearable he even congratulated Uddersfield last week on finishing second in one of his posts or was that another of his moronic desciples Come on Saints you can beat brighton
Viking Warrior Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Oh My god Cestrian be positive please . yor soooo negative mate 2 -1 win to saints

Mr Saints Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Gobern isn't good enough for the bench let alone the first 11. Looks like Adkins is aiming for a point today and then pinning everything on us winning the last 4. Risky.
Window Cleaner Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Brighton have the same side out as they had last week. No weak XI then. Just Greer who's still suspended, other than that they're at full strength.

Saint_Jonny Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 What a load of bum wee. We've got a great chance to win today IMO. And 2nd is there for the taking.
ericofarabia Posted 23 April, 2011 Posted 23 April, 2011 Prozac helps. Failing that I believe Old Speckled Hen has healing properties Just cracked open the first of the afterrnoon

We may have some great players but there are other clubs with far better team spirit than Saints. Why do people post things like this? Our position in the league is dictated by the start we had, since then we have been as good as Brigthon and better than Hudders/P'Boro over the course of the season. We have a fantastic team spirit, a terrific bunch of players who all want to win promotion - there is a drive, that was clear to see against MK Dons. The fact that you didn't expect to see us battling with Huddersfield for a promotion place is a bizarre comment too. Who else were we going to be battling with? This is L1 and Huddersfield are one of the best teams at this level. The fact we're in this position after the start we had is a great effort IMO.
