would you bet on the other two winning all of their four?

Personally I don't see Huddersfield winning away at MK Dons nor Peterborough at Rochdale, provided of course that those 2 sides still have play-off ambitions when the matches take place.

How about this; Saints pretend to form a guard of honour as bummers run out then turn their backs. Or even the bird would do.

Rethink; turning your back on bummers is probably unwise.

With Poyets comments and talk of Guards of Honour it looks like the Seagulls are believing their own press. I reckon we'll win and **** on their firework.

That would be more akin to p155ing on the embers of their bonfire somewhere around December as they were loading their fireworks for the following year onto a big truck to set up somewhere else, to labour an analogy.

look the least we can do is rally on our boys when the time comes! at this moment we are 2nd and that is how it shall stay at the end of the season!

Recommending loudhailers and binoculars for Saturday then.

I'm looking forward to getting this game out of the way so this pathetic *****ing from both sides will stop.

We'll hopefully have to play them next season as well... though based on the last time we were in the Championship together it won't be a "rivalry" for long.

We will lose this probably. Squad is starting to look a little depleted and the 1st team starting to look a little jaded. Bumchums 1 : Saints 1.

I think we will lose 1-1 as well.

LOL - don't be a dork...you know what I meant - we will probably lose, but my prediction is 1-1. Meh.

So you predict a 1-1 loss?

Me too.

I am hopeful that we can beat Brighton by a decent number of goals and close the gap between us, and keep the pressure on them.

this blatant sarcasm is surely worth an infraction.

how do you get from train station to ground? is there a train stop closer to the ground than Brighton station?

Preston Park. 10 minute walk.

Give them their guard of honour before the game if that's what they need to make their chip on the shoulder feel better. Psychologically it will really annoy our players, wind them up and get them tearing into Brighton to prove a point.

I agree.

They are getting themselves so worked up on this subject that it will bea let down for them once it is over whilst it may well gee us up.

Relax...Saints will give a guard of honour...then proceed to show great determination and desire to win...and will do so by 3:2 - Saints fans will leave happy, Brighton fans will still be happy they've won the league...but the doubts will have been sown for next season!

Llalana back too is my prediction, schn on bench

Just checked the odds on WillHill and we are both 7/5 to win. Draw is 12/5.

The old faithful 3-1 away win is 20/1. I fancy a couple of quid on that.

Why would I want to believe we're going to concede a goal ?

Why should we believe anyway? Surely he couldn't possibly know the score already?

If we play as badly on saturday as we did in the first halves against Rochdale and Bristol Rovers we will lose by at least a couple of goals. I still think we are a far better footballing side than Brighton, but they know how to win ugly as they say, something we struggle to do on a regular basis. Lets hope we start playing from the first minute and give ourselves as good a chance as possible of getting something from the game.

Poyet says that even if we win 10-0 it won't change the fact that they gave been the best team this season. Is he preparing for a heavy defeat?

Re drinking we will be in that lovely bar on the beach by midday, just down the ramping the pier and walk towards your right. It is a lovely spot. It's called the artist quarter nowadays and has some lovely little outlets and good views of both piers.

Anyone know the local radio station down there please? I am only going to drop somempeople off at the ground, so will be listening to the match whilst pretending to listen to mrs h whilst hovering around the changing rooms in Primark.

We just cannot deliver when it matters in away games so in reality it is not in our hands at all. We must as always rely on the other two to cock-it up! One might but surely not both.

Put it this way, if we lose on Saturday would you bet your house on winning the other four....

Check out our away record...it's comparable with our immediate competitors.

Bit less hand wringing would be good....Fonte called it right when he said the others are looking at us as much as we're looking at them...and we are ahead with a game in hand. Would you swap?

Maybe he's a Time Lord.

In which case I want a lift back to 2004, as there are a few Saints-related things I'd like to tweak.

If you could go back to 2004, what would you change?

I'd have been more selective about who off Saints Forever I slept with.

Hang on, how did this get on the Brighton build-up thread ?

thats why I said 11-0 would be good

(I'd settle for a point)

And we should make the players give Brighton a guard of honour. They should all stand there, hang their heads in shame at the hard work we've made of this season, then go out there and beat the fckers.

A point is nigh on a moot point atm as one huddersfiled would mean them leapfrogging us. In fact one or even two draws could prove disastrous if they get a corresponding win.

Having said that I willmhappily enjoy a play off scenario just for the forum banter and wrist slashing. It's just a game and the more games the more there is to 'enjoy'.

Having said all that wouldn't it be fantastic to really hammer them, I mean 'really' hammer them with a headline grabbing scoreline line six or seven nil?

Bad.

Disrespectful, and probably just given them all the motivation they need.

Would you honestly think we'd expect Brighton to do the guard of honour for us if the boot was on the other foot??
