TopGun Posted 14 April, 2011 Share Posted 14 April, 2011 OK, here's the Hollywood deal... A friend needs to find a black cab for a scene in a short sci-fi film on Saturday 23rd April. Somewhere in Southampton, and it shouldn't take more than about an hour and a half tops. There's no budget to pay anyone but if any of you black cab drivers fancy being involved in a film it will be good fun and I'm sure there'll be a coffee and a bun... Drop me a PM if you're interested or know somebody else who might be.
Deppo Posted 14 April, 2011 Share Posted 14 April, 2011 Sci-fi film? A likely story. I'd want a guarantee that the talent don't spaff on the seats.
dubai_phil Posted 14 April, 2011 Share Posted 14 April, 2011 Stupid idea to make a sci-fi in Southampton. Should have made it in Skatesmuff, would have saved a fortune in special effects and make up for the Aliens
Deppo Posted 14 April, 2011 Share Posted 14 April, 2011 Could have used the Tricorn Centre if it was still there. That was the building straight from a dystopian future.
Huffton Posted 15 April, 2011 Share Posted 15 April, 2011 Does it have to be black? You might struggle, Southampton hackneys are all white.

Let's assume hackney and I'll check the colour part...
hamster Posted 15 April, 2011 Share Posted 15 April, 2011 Should film it at Fratton for authenticity, nO atmosphere.
scotty Posted 15 April, 2011 Share Posted 15 April, 2011 Could have used the Tricorn Centre if it was still there. That was the building straight from a dystopian future. Wasnt that voted the ugliest building in the UK? I remember thinking "how appropriate".
