Window Cleaner Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 Big chance he won't return this season Will he play for us again then?
100%Red&White Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 its going to be harder than some think... they have won their last 3 away games Surprised they're not bringing more down then. They've sold their initial allocation of 400 and took another 300 a couple of days ago. I'm sure a few more will travel down and pay on the day, they had around 3k last season.
goodymatt Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 Will he play for us again then? Maybe if we get promotion? Although wouldn't be surprised if he left in the summer
Appy Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 Big chance he won't return this season Big source in Macclesfield?
Liquidshokk Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 Now we're in 2nd I'm sh!t scared of losing tomorrow. Even going down one place will feel catastrophic now and lead to a psychological battle for the players no doubt
fanimal Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 We should be braced for that for 24 hours at least next weekend, as Hudders play a day earlier and then we have BHA...
harwellsaint Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 A lot of pressure on Saturdays game now... like im not nervese already! specially after going to rochdale tues, we cant f this up.......can we?
Liquidshokk Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 Adkins said a bumper crowd in his interview but that may be a guess... How much is a bumper
Appy Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 Adkins said a bumper crowd in his interview but that may be a guess... How much is a bumper I think it will be about 24/25k. Rovers should bring about 1500.
Saint Charlie Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 Rovers top scorer Hoskins set to miss out with injury according to their Vital site: http://www.bristolrovers.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=238868
Joesaint Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 Have to agree with most people the I am sooo scared, I think our team is good enough just don't think huddersfield or posh will drop points with I think means we have to win all but 2 games and I don't want 2nd spot decided on the last day, please please please saints just win ALL remaining games COYS. Kinda looking forward to Saturday please make my day. COYS
Wade Garrett Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 We are going to hammer the carrott crunchers tomorrow.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 I think it will be about 24/25k. Rovers should bring about 1500. Unlikely as Rovers only got an initial allocation of 441, which they sold and got an additional 300, which aren't all sold yet.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 The one thing i will not miss if we go up is the amount of away fans coming to St Marys. The number of away fans visiting Saints this season has been pitiful.
Saints Warrior Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 Win vs Bristol Rovers and then that will settle the players. If Huddersfield lose oe draw then the palyers will get a huge boost. I think we can win all but BAHA away. But its all very nervey....early goals please Saints....4-1.
goodymatt Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 Big source in Macclesfield? Saints Player does work in Macclesfield you know!
Deppo Posted 15 April, 2011 Posted 15 April, 2011 Saints Player does work in Macclesfield you know! Bullsh*t. I've been to Macclesfield.
captainchris Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 2-1 win, we scrape by with the diamond again. Rovers to score in the first half and hold out until half time. Lambert to equalise just after HT, Lallana to score the decider on 77 mins. Rovers hit the post with minutes left. I'd take that. Complete garbage will you try and keep a modicam of reality.......ok here's my complete fantasy............we loose 6.0 and keep the diamond formation till the 90th minute...... Udders win by a penalty conceded in their own half with 3 seconds remaining - rediculous just total carp and not worth typing - it's not even funny..........
Saint Fan CaM Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 Make no mistake, this game will define Adkins future.
Matthew Le God Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 Make no mistake, this game will define Adkins future. What if we lose, then win the next 5 games and go up?
Ziggy Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 Well I'm looking forward to it. As long as we keep calm - both the players and the crowd - then we should be fine.
toofarnorth Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 We are in a better position now than we were at 2-0 down v MK Dons and the crowd kept singing so lets get the same atmosphere today. Stay positive.
St Mikie Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 Am I correct in thinking a win for us today and either a draw or loss for Bompy would guarantee us a play off spot?
Dalek2003 Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 the play offs are what i expect, which won't be a disaster as long as we win through !
NickG Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 can't remember last 5-0 I saw, looking forward to it!
BARCELONASAINT Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 Really concerned about today and so should anyone that saw our performance at Rochdale. I was shocked to see how poor we were and we lost badly to a Rochdale team that were not that good. We have to go out all guns blazing from the start...not wait until the second half to start playing. Another performance like Tuesday night and i honestly think it will be the playoffs for us. Please dont anyone think i'm being overly concerned because i'm not.....i honestly dont think we have been playing well recently. An early goal will settle any nerves and hopefully we will go on and get the 3 points comfortably

Jimmy Gabriel's Halo Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 According to NA quoted on BBC Ceefax this morning AOC is still on crutches and the earliest he may return would be against Walsall. So, in reality, that is him out for the rest of the season. Not great news.
Window Cleaner Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 (edited) Make no mistake, this game will define Adkins future. can't really see the basis for that statement but there you go. 2 defeats in a row would be a greater judge of a manager's ablility than 7 wins out of 8? Could be I guess. Edited 16 April, 2011 by Window Cleaner
hamster Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 Let's be honest about this. Rovers will be coming for a draw at most and they're not gonna risk injuries and suspensions to first teamers in what is their toughest remaining fixture. If they do happen to get ahead they will not know how to deal with our onslaught and will feel the wrath. Nailed on win and don't be surprised to see our more flair players teasing them like a new born kitten. Win next week too and promotion at Brentford.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 If we go behind, let's not loose patience! They're blatantly going to put 5 across midfield and will be hard to breakdown but we'll get them eventually.
Thedelldays Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 this lot beat us at home last season too.....
Thedelldays Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 Unlikely as Rovers only got an initial allocation of 441' date=' which they sold and got an additional 300, which aren't all sold yet.[/quote'] madness..they had an excellent away following here last season on a tuesday night...seems at least 2k plus then..maybe (if I remember rightly) sold out the away end near enough..
LGTL Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 They were in the top 6 when we played them at home last year, although fell away quite dramatically. We owe them as that was the game they scored the winner in the 92nd minute or something wasn't it?

Saint_clark Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 this lot beat us at home last season too..... They also finished just below us last season. This season they're right down the bottom.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 can't really see the basis for that statement but there you go. 2 defeats in a row would be a greater judge of a manager's ablility than 7 wins out of 8? Could be I guess. Well I didn't say it would define his ability - just his future. The rationale for my statement is that I see this game as the pivotal point in the run-in...win and we keep hold of 2nd or indeed gain needed confidence in the squad to start to move ahead...lose and we could easily see ourselves drop to 3rd which in turn could trigger a drop in form and if that leads to not going up auto, then all bets are off. I would not be confident of our chances in the play-off lottery and another season in L1 would not be tolerated IMO.

Still pretty confident myself but the rest of our season will probably depend on who we have available more than anything else. I thought Tuesday's side looked real rubbish from the outset...looks like i was not wrong. I really really don't want to see Richardson anywhere near the starting line up nor Dickson in midfield again.

Thedelldays Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 I think you will be seeing Dickson in midfield today. no lallana starting then....tits saying that, we should easily have enough to beat 4th from bottom at home without him
Window Cleaner Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 I think you will be seeing Dickson in midfield today. Oh crap, what's wrong with Gobern then?
westofshannonsaint Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 bristol fans are not very confident http://www.brfcforum.co.uk/index.php?/topic/96364-southampton-match-thread-preview/page__st__20

Saint Charlie Posted 16 April, 2011 Posted 16 April, 2011 Lallana not even on bench - hope his cameo on Tuesday didn't come at a cost.
