JustMike Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 I thought he was crocked for a while but according to NA he is back running. Maybe he wont be fit enough to play this season but at least he is not too bad. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2333909,00.html
NickG Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 think it was only on here that he would be out for the season
Avenue Saint Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 He told me himself nick that with the ligaments and some thrombosis, he was looking at rest of season out...
NickG Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 fair enough - hope its quicker than he thought, can only help having him as option
farawaysaint Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 Super Nige knows his players Considering his physio background I think especially with injuries he's not likely to make the mistake of 90% of managers and rush unfit players back into the squad.
Lighthouse Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 I hope he's back soon. We really struggle to win when he's missing and we never play well.
VectisSaint Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 think it was only on here that he would be out for the season Although no-one said it officially it was quite clear from the comments from NA at the time that it was likely to be the rest of the season or at least not far off. I think also that we probably would not have gone in for Stephens if Spiderman was close to a return. What I really want to know is whether Stephens is also out for multiple games, because if he is we are back to the situation of only having Hammond & Chaplow (OK, and Gobern), think it was quite clear that NA considers Chappers out of form.

Replying to my own post is a bit sad, but just read the OS, sounds like Stephens might be available today after all, which is good news.

Thedelldays Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 I hope he's back soon. We really struggle to win when he's missing and we never play well. nice joke
moon monkey Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 What a prat. We have really struggled last 2 games, haven't we.
alpine_saint Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 think it was only on here that he would be out for the season and in the Echo and the ITKs
NickG Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 isn't that all the same thing?? And none too reliable!
Lighthouse Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 nice joke What a prat. We have really struggled last 2 games, haven't we. I suppose 2/3 isn't bad.
latter day saint Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 Commentator on the match just said Morgan has a medial ligament injury & is having problems with frombosis (sp) in his calf & doesn't expect to be back this season.
Colinjb Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 and in the Echo and the ITKs The echo... saintsweb..... same thing really. They do their research on here, no?
RobM Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 and in the Echo and the ITKs The echo... saintsweb..... same thing really. They do their research on here, no? Nobody here is really ITK like the leaky old days and the Echo print anything they read on here that may sell papers, like a true red-top. So Alpine is right and proves NickG's point nicely.
Matthew Le God Posted 11 April, 2011 Posted 11 April, 2011 Today... Interviewer "Is it likely we will see Morgan playing again this season?" Nigel Adkins "There is every chance" (said with a big smile on his face) They also show him jogging around the training ground.
SuperMikey Posted 11 April, 2011 Posted 11 April, 2011 Leads me to believe that the "late calls" that NA is referring to would be to include Schneiderlin in the squad somehow and also to check on the fitness of Lallana/Stephens etc. Give Lallana and Schneiderlin 25 minute cameos or put them on at half time if things aren't going how we want them to.
Thedelldays Posted 11 April, 2011 Posted 11 April, 2011 it seems morgan will play more games this season...

I don't think Morgan is that close. The footage doesn't show him training with the rest of the squad so would imagine he is a bit off yet. Maybe a couple of weeks.

Think you will find Adkins said "No Chance" but he was smiling when he said it!
Saint Charlie Posted 11 April, 2011 Posted 11 April, 2011 Think you will find Adkins said "No Chance" but he was smiling when he said it! He clearly said 'There is every chance'
Dark Munster Posted 11 April, 2011 Posted 11 April, 2011 it seems morgan will play more games this season... Ready for the playoffs, maybe?

opthomps Posted 11 April, 2011 Posted 11 April, 2011 I think you need to watch it again. He says "theres every chance". I knew we would end up with these sorts of problems with a scouser at the helm. It's clearly time for him to go.
