Brussels Saint Posted 8 April, 2011 Share Posted 8 April, 2011 Anyone know what this place is like as a pub/place to stay? I'm travelling over for the Walsall game in May and was thinking of staying here. Cheers!

KK the 2nd Posted 8 April, 2011 Share Posted 8 April, 2011 Food was good when I went there. Handy for the ground. Trip advisor ratings ok. You could do worse.
Brussels Saint Posted 8 April, 2011 Author Share Posted 8 April, 2011 Nice one, thanks all for the comments. The Kings Head looks great, but prefer this time to stay in the city as can then have a few pints.

JackanorySFC Posted 8 April, 2011 Share Posted 8 April, 2011 (edited) I work in London and reccomend it to everyone I work with that has to stay in God's own City. I've stayed there myself before, rooms are under £100, quality - good service and restaurant probably the best in Southampton. In fact, I can't believe God's own City has so few "boutique" hotels? Anyone who travels a bit for work will confirm that Bristol, Notts, Manchester, Leeds etc have plenty of awesome independently owned places for under £100 (during the credit crunch us private companies have had our hotel limits cut) a night. Brussels Saint Posted 8 April, 2011 Author Share Posted 8 April, 2011 Thanks Jack, I booked it for Friday & Saturday night as everyone seems to have a good word. Hopefully this game will be a celebration or the weekend will be pretty duff!

No worries mate, have a good one - good to see a man of taste that's willing to do research rather than blindly booking into a Jurys Inn for a similar outlay! You won't be disappointed... Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 8 April, 2011 Share Posted 8 April, 2011 If it's the White Star in Oxford Street then it likes to think of itself as 'up market' and it is a nice pub.
