People are saying that Huddersfield have a tough run in but do they?

They have:

Posh (h) - pretty ropey on the road.

Charlton (a) - in mid table mediocrity with nothing to play for.

MK Dons (a) - genuinely tough game.

Daggers (h) - can only see 3 points from this one

Brighton (a) - probably already up and with little left to play.

Brentford (h) - mid table, little to play for.

I'm not convinced that Huddersfield's run in is a difficult as many on here think so I'd favour a draw followed by a Posh win.

That'll be Brighton's last ever game at the Withdean and they will be lifting the title on that day so I seriously doubt they'll roll over.

I remember Man City's last ever game at Maine Rd was against the Saints. They had nothing else to play for and duly rolled over (1-0 to the Saints).

Not gonna be too worried about this fixture. As Adkins would say, "we can only control the controllables" and "keep our own house in order". Whatever this game ends up, we just have to get a minimum of 4 points from the next 2 games. COYS!!

Agree, first and foremost lets worry about our own result then look to see how others have fared.

That said, anything but a Huddersfield win would be welcome.

There's no way we (Huddersfield Town) will lose this game! (Kiss of Death Statements are us!:uhoh:)

Excitement is at fever pitch here in all honesty so a defeat is unthinkable. There's a real sense of togetherness at the club these days the likes of which I've not personally witnessed since the heady days of Frankie Worthington and Trevor Cheery in our ranks.

Obviously, we've drawn too many games in our recent unbeaten run otherwise we'd be 'clear' of Southampton regardless of games played but it's amazing what going unbeaten for so long, does to a team.

Of course the pessimists will be saying we're going to lose at some point and that's fair enough but I'd prefer to think that we'll do exactly as we did back in our 1969/70 promotion season to the old 1st Division and go undefeated from January to May!

Good Luck to all after today!:D

Can't see why anyone would want a Posh win. They may be 3 points behind, but have by far the easier run in. Posh haven't got a tricky fixture in any of their last 5 games, a trip to Orient being perhaps the toughest, with 3 home bankers in there too. Udders have trips to Brighton, Charlton and MK.

Can't really see more than 8 points for Udders in their last 5. I'd say Posh look good for 13.

Totally agree with you. Which is why that 1-1 is an amazing result for us - couldn't have been more dramatic either!

playing around with possible optimistic outcomes

win our next two away games we will be on 77 points with 6 games left. 3 home, 3 away.

If we are confident in our home performances, (which we should be with current home form playing 3 teams in bottom half and trying to look like automatic promotion side) we should get 9 points from home games.

That would give us 86 points - without anything from last 3 away games.

If Peterborough lose or draw tomorrow they can't match that total.

Huddersfield, with our better goal difference would only be able to drop 4 points.

Two wins over the next fews days will really take pressure off!

so win Tuesday plus three home games for 86 points.

Peterborough - max now is 86 if they win all 5 games - but have to catch up 13 goals to match us.

Terriers max now 89 if win all games, so one loss would put us out of reach!

Win Tues and pressure lifts (a little!!)
