Ken Tone Posted 8 April, 2011 Share Posted 8 April, 2011 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-13012150 Another Muslim? --- A man has appeared in court accused of grooming 22 girls in the UK via the internet. Paul Anthony Wilson, 20, from Birmingham, appeared before the city's magistrates to face 43 charges Why no thread on this bloke, with the heading "Christians grooming children" ? This is recent, today's news, not from 2003. I've no idea if he is religious or not, but then nor do we have any idea if the 'muslims' refered to in the OP are religious either. They are all despicable, but trying to make this look like it is a race/religious issue is pretty despicable too.

I'd be really annoyed if i committed an offence and was then labelled a christian, that would annoy me more than what i was charged with.
Deppo Posted 8 April, 2011 Share Posted 8 April, 2011 Barney, read his whole post. Your post reminded me of the bit in The Office when Gareth is working with Tim on the fox/chicken/seed across a river problem and Gareth just repeats Tim's points back at him in a mocking tone as if Tim is suggesting the opposite. It's what's called in psychoanalytic circles 'second-paragraph blindness.' Which is why I guess you get banned all the time, because you don't do them. Write all your barbs in the second paragraph and no one will notice, I promise. None of the above is true.

SuperMikey Posted 8 April, 2011 Share Posted 8 April, 2011 I still highly doubt that the ethnicity of the people involved stopped the investigation from progressing - it just doesn't make sense. If they stopped investigating because of community cohesion, that's f*cking stupid. I should imagine the people in the community would prefer to get rid of groomers, regardless of race, religion etc.

What exactly do you need to see to get you to change your opinion on this? Genuinely lost for words.....
Doctoroncall Posted 8 April, 2011 Share Posted 8 April, 2011 If we all put in a quid, would you get genetically screened? Would love to see how you report that you're 2% Chinese, 6% Scandinavian etc. Truth is, there's no such thing as 'Indigenous British'. Us Brits are a mish-mash of all different peoples and cultures. Yes, there were the Celts, but they were spread across the whole of Europe from the Shetlands to Turkey, so they're hardly what we would define as 'British'. An interesting idea, worthy of it's own thread I think. However, the human genome covers the nature part but don't forget nurture is just as important! I know Richard Dawkins has mapped UK genome ancestry but don't now when it was available or who broadcasted it. I tried to find it but didn't have time. Of course we all know about the out of africa theory but there is also a trace of neanderthal in some of us!

What exactly do you need to see to get you to change your opinion on this? Genuinely lost for words..... I still don't believe it, there must be something else. I know it sounds stupid given the quotes etc, but it's just unfeasible to me that a criminal investigation would be stopped from going any further just because the people involved were ethnic minorities. The police have never had a problem with going after ethnic minorities before, so why should they halt an investigation? My guess would be a lack of substantial incriminating evidence - it's all very well knowing that something is going on if you can't prove it. rocknrollman no2 Posted 8 April, 2011 Share Posted 8 April, 2011 Can we not all agree that there are good and bad people across all races and creeds and who cares what religion they are? I hate all the double standards racists show when they sprout their bile. Its ok to rely on people from different parts of the world when we need their help fighting the first world war or Nazisim,or any other little war we get ourselves into, yet when they want to live here, its not on. Racisim and religion are probably the worst things ever to be invented by mankind.
Deppo Posted 8 April, 2011 Share Posted 8 April, 2011 Can we not all agree that there are good and bad people across all races and creeds and who cares what religion they are? No, we can't. Just take a look at Dunes posting history and the number of racist/semi-racist threads he has started and it'll be clear that we're never going to agree anything. But, his racism is simply endorsed by the way the Admin ignore it, despite the bullsh*t posted by them about "implied racism".

TopGun Posted 8 April, 2011 Share Posted 8 April, 2011 There have been some terrible instance of abuse amongst Christian organisations. I don't think it is sensible to label a thread in the way you have or to try to generalise about whole groups of people but then it is unsurprising given your agenda. I wholly agree with this. Dune is once again talking out of his arse. The thread should be re-badged if nothing else by the mods.

Why did he receive a ban for life as Stanley and yet, purely through a change of name, get back and post his bile, in his own 'cultured' sort of way? I've asked this question too, and received no answer of course. It seems some racists are more acceptable than others. Dune is, Stanley isn't. Go figure.
