lol at the distinct lack of Chamberlain mentioned by anyone on that thread! Personally I'd definately have Lallana ahead of him, but would've thought he'd have made the subs benches on some of the choices!?

Very surprised to see so many of their fans choose Kelvin as keeper of the season.

Would definitely have Richard Lee, of Brentford, in that spot.

...and on the same note...very few appreciating how ridiculously good lalallalalalana is. He is head and shoulders above anyone in our squad...and we should be automatic come the end of the season.

There are a few that recogise his talent, but I can't think of a game that he hasn't stood out (With the exception of the one when he came back from injury)

I guess it just shows so people only see their own team week in and week out, so aren't best positioned to judge other teams players.

Fonte and Lallana should make it from Saints i'd imagine.

I'll have a go at this:

Davis

Butterfield, Fonte, Jaidi, Harding

Ox-C, Hammond, Schneiderlin, Lallana

Lambert Barnard

Subs: Bart, Seaborne, Dickson, Prado, Chaplow, Richardson, Forte.

Gotta be honest. I have very little knowledge of other teams players. When we were in the Prem I could name just about every player in every squad. In the Champ at least half of them. In L1 they're all a bit anonymous to me!

Same but i know CMS,Boyd,Pilkington and Calderon are good players who could get in our side and also i coach a 9 year old Brentford fan who's certain Lee is better then Davis, with saintrich putting Lee in his team i would assume thats correct, every other position i would have saints players, ok Murrary and BWP would maybe start ahead of RL because they deserve to be in team of year but fact is RL is much better then them 2.

Cant imagine there being many better left backs than Dan Harding this season either.

Really ? I can imagine there must about 10 based on what I've seen of him.

Bizarre how often BWP appeared on the Udders thread.

Not that bizarre when you appreciate he's scored goals for fun this season.

Don't know enough about too many individuals to really pick a team, especially in defence but I'd have Dawson from Rochdale in it. Fonte probably too. Must have a Brighton defender in it, so Greer maybe? Possibly even Calderon too I guess, but like I said my knowledge of League One defenders is toilet.

Midfield would be Bennett, Lallana, Gary Jones and Boyd.

Strike force would be CMS and BWP.

Utter utter rubbish.

It just goes to show how immense Harding was last season that after being just slightly less consistant this season some people think he's been "**** poor". He's just so solid defensively, and offers so much gonig forward with his overlapping runs with Lallana.

Two brilliant first seasons for him, and free!

as I recall he (lallana) was crap away at Huddersfield - hence their fans not including him.

Butterfield imo is the most under rated player in Saints history, along with Lee Barnard going by how this thread is going so far!

I think there both very good players

Posted

Ankegren (Brighton)

Calderon (Brighton)

Fonte (Saints)

Clarke (Huddersfield)

Dawson (Rochdale)

Bennett (Brighton)

Pugh (Bournemouth) or Jones (Rochdale)

Lallana (Saints)

Mackail-Smith (Peterborough)

Murray (Brighton)

Pilkington (Huddersfield)

Dawson is a CB. Pretty sure they pick 4-4-2.

True, but there's no stand out left-backs in this league. And I think Pilks, Lallana and Bennett all deserve to be in the team :proud:

you're not wrong about the left backs. Shame Dickson didn't get more games otherwise he might have been that man. When it comes to the voting I would imagine they have to pick a left back otherwise we'd end up with a team of 5 strikers and 6 attacking midfielders.
