I have to say that this is one of the best shirts I have ever seen

Had it not been for the original poster's (unverified) comments about the kit style for home and away shirts I'd have been a lot more impressed with some of the designs on here.

As it is, I doubt we'll have anything like most of the ones I like, so I'm not holding my breath on another sash, even though one in yellow/blue or even as above would be really nice.

have you snuck in a sneaky new badge design. I like it, expand if you could please

whack it on the Man City & WBA away kits please mate

Basically I just used the shield from this:

And came up with this:

I will get around to adding it to the ones you requested later.

This looks good. Can you make the logo in black font and a fraction more white above the logo? Add a Saints badge to the shorts too. Perfeck.

Like this?

I had to re-do the kit as the PSD file wouldn't load. Forgot to add the extra white on the socks.

Anyway, here's a couple more:

If the away kit has to be yellow and blue again then I hope it follows the format of these below

Here is my attempt. This is the first time I have done something like this, and I'm not great with computers, so please be kind.

You need to cut and paste the "pop-up" URL (which ends in "theater") into the address bar, then right click the "normal" pic and post that URL as the img link :

Awesome effort, I think you've got the new badge spot on. :D

I'm still sodding around with overlaying the original shirt template (for which I have hundreds of Umbro templates rather than about 15) on those short and sock templates... problem being the shadow effect around the whole kit, which needs to be removed from the bottom of the shirt.

I really like the yellow/blue stripes, don't like the split-sash navy/yellow version, just because it's impossible to overlay the sponsor like that.

Had a little go at creating some kits:

An Away One:

I have mentioned it time and time again, but collars on football shirts are a complete no no. I would like the stripes back too. Designs are good mate, very simple but look good.

I have to say personally, having started off in flappy collar late-70s kits with nipple-grating material, moved on into v-neck and round neck polyester sheen shirts in the early 80s, then pinstriped v-necks in the late 80s, on to the hideous collared jacquard woven shiny patterned things of the early 90s, hideously loud screen prints in the mid 90s, the pointless quirky design features like laced and button down collars of the late 90s, and on into the bland multi-club regimented templates of the 2000s, I'm not bothered whether kits have collars or not as long as they don't sit on your throat or break your nose when you pull them on.

...or cause 'jogger's nipple' by the time you have walked downstairs.

Here's Exeter's red and white stripes for next season:

Is that a player? or is it some random bloke in his flip flops dragged off the street?

To all those that say "it doesn't matter who the manufacturer is" it does......

Carbrini are one of the worst manufacturers around. That is an ill-fitting monstrosity!

Delighted we have Umbro and hope we extend the deal.

The only other manufacturers I would be happy with would be Adidas or Nike but we would be unlikely to get as much attention as Umbro give us and probably end up contracted to one of their UK distributors of teamwear shirts.

This... Macron are just as bad. Their shirts are really wide but really short.

That Exeter shirt is absolutely awful and that publicity shot is totally amateur. They could have found one that fitted the player (is it a player or some random bloke in flip flops they found outside?). The giant cardboard shirt isn't the same as the one the player/random is wearing FFS!

Puma is also one of the biggest brands, but their quality and designs are very inconsistant.

Also they generally can't do stripes!

I love their new Coventry kit though.

That badge took me bloody ages, I feel I have captured the essence of Southampton in it.

I really like Umbro as a kit suppiler. Man City have Umbro also and I really like the simple design of their current shirt.

Not a fan of Nike or Adidas. Van Der Sar, Szczesny and Valdes all have the same tiger armed GK strip as their teams shirts are all Nike. If we had them we would look the same as so many others.

Really like some of the above designs.

To be fair saint, all the umbro teams (other than city who are based around England) have the same gk template too.

Next years one isn't very nice either (see new sunderland gk kit)

Yes that's exactly what I mean, there's loads of examples!

To be fair they have done some nice designs over the years but the quality is not great either usually.

Like the9 said, new Coventry is quite nice and some of their international kits have been good.

so long as the sponsor is not on a ****ing iron-on plastic patch like the second year of Flybe. That made us look like primary school kids. If we're going to pay £40 for a shirt it has to be made well. And for the record I like collars.

I hope we get a kappa tight fitting design...just for the ladehs

NO!!!

Like I keep on saying, one of the highlights of my day out at the footeh is looking down the shirt of the blonde chick in front of me and ogglin her mammalians. Don't you dare go putting her in a tight shirt. Tight little trousers though... mmmmm....
