And they could christen it with an SFC condom, what a wonderful thing

Indeed. What brilliant marketing by the club. If the condom fails (most likely given how cheap we like to get things made)... The NC will appease the victims of said condom with a life ST for their unwanted baby

SFC is now a way of life

You will have plenty to talk about with Maureen and jack from Shirley... Who are already there.. Flask of tea and biscuits from NC.. Great summer night in store

I've got a feeling tonight/tomorrow morning is going to be one of those "i was there "moments. However, I am having trouble understanding Maureen as she only has three teeth and is at least 6 stone overweight, meanwhile Jack smells of a combination of BO and Whiskey. However they have brought their Saints scarf for the echo tomorrow so they can stand at the front for the photo shoot with us either proudly wearing our new shirts or our sad faces at the disapointment that they were delayed.

Cant wait for the free tea, not looking forward to the car park charges. Might return my kit as soon as i've bought it for that reason.

If people wanna spoil their kids and just give in to their demands thats their problem. As a parent it winds me up when other parents shower their kids with stuff as some kind competition with other parents.

I agree with you... as a non-parent. ;)

I like that slogan, maybe we could use this in the future. Like Rangers have "more than a club" as their slogan, we could have SFC - AWOL.

It's fine, but all this build up for a simplistic red and white striped shirt would seem a bit daft. Also hate the sponsor logo, very tacky. A white panel build into the fabric of the shirt with plain red aap3 would look so much better.

I don't think that's going to be far off, but it IS just the Sunderland kit without the diagonal bits on the back - and the only reason it doesn't have THOSE is because the template maker couldn't be bothered to do it properly so you could see the pattern through the head-hole.

I think we're getting pretty much that, with the same collar as either the NY Cosmos shirt or the Blackburn away kit, with black shoulder flashes from the Rangers home kit style.

Mind you I reckon they nicked from my idea for the surround on the aap3 logo. :D

Oh, and I'm not going to have time to trawl this thread for everyone's forecasts and predictions, sorrrrrrrrrrry...

I can't wait to see the socks, I wonder if they're stripey.

If they haven't got those cool little 'jester'esque umbro diamonds in pattern I'll be livid.

I know the tittillation from SFC has been about `stars in stripes', suggesting star players wearing striped shirts, but could stars actually be part if the design in some way? The England kit has little coloured stars on the back doesn't it?

That had better be a wind up. :D

It's true. Like internationals have stars on their shirts to represent how many times they have won the world cup, football league clubs have the same thing for how many times they have won the Johnstones Paint Trophy.

Based on the Sunderland socks I reckon they're white with a couple of red hoops. They may also have a black turnover as well, or just a black turnover and no hoops. That's pretty much all of the sock options from Umbro that I've seen so far, but I guaranfckingtee you they will have grey feet on them.

I will be responding to most sarcasm with an absolutely stoic response by the way.

I'll see your JPT stars and raise you my Markus Flag shirt from earlier in the thread :

But its unlikely to be an exact copy of another teams strip isn't it ?

Yes for the home kit, but not so much for the away kit, especially at the moment when Umbro are foisting that style on a lot of teams. Then again, if it's the "pinnacle" it'll be like Sunderland's away and that won't be the same.

Mock up time...

Hi ho, hi ho....

Thanks for the explanation by the way.

Wasn't it also known as Old Gold, like the Wolves kit?

A bit lighter than Wolves I think. Seem to remember having a poster of Martin Chivers wearing it.

I only remember our away shirt being described as amber, whereas Wolves were old gold as you say. I seem to recall our amber was not as orange/bright as the Wolves shirt but my memory after 40 years on may not be totally reliable.

I've seen it listed on one of the historical kit websites as being amber, but I can't find which one, some of them only have home kits.

Saints in amber would rule... :)

I don't like the yellow shorts, but makes no sense to have black shorts for home and away kits. Maybe red ?

Yeah ah ha

you know what it is

Black and yellow, black and yellow

Black and yellow, black and yellow

I know someone in the store and i can confirm it hasn't been delivered yet and they don't even know what it looks like either. The shirts are still in a warehouse in Manchester ready to go. They have had the shorts delivered though and their black.

Haha, if you believe that you'll believe anything...

Especially given that the club has been printing shirts with names and numbers for at least 2 weeks that we know of, and they've blacked off the shirt printing bit for about as long. They're not doing that because "there's no kit there".

they actually had it up! the heading was 'stars in strips revealed'

the9 has been pressing refresh every 12.67 seconds for the last 2 months, he is sat on a commode hard plummed into his sewage system and a collection of ken dolls with draw on me t shirts

There is NO WAY he would have missed what it looks like
