Window Cleaner Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 (edited) Isn't there a game this week? U21s against Eastleigh, will they be wearing the new kit? Or will the MLMC be it's first outing against Werder who play in green if I recall correctly. nope it's Totton not Eastleigh this week. Edited 19 July, 2011 by Window Cleaner
Chin Strain Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 So, two new kits launched in the space of one week. Do they think supporters are made of money FFS ? Bet the parents of little ones are chuffed, they will want both no doubt. Well maybe this country would be better off if parents used that old fashioned word 'no' now and again and stopped pandering to them. FFS, this kind of thing makes my blood boil.
Thedelldays Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 OMG OMG OMG Heard what our new home kit looks like
Chin Strain Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 OMG OMG OMG Heard what our new home kit looks like It's blue isn't it....
OttawaSaint Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 Breaking news: Kit was designed by a certain M Lewinski and has what looks like a cum stain, right on the front... In other news: shorts are in, but do adults really buy the shorts? The thought of some red-faced, pie eating, huffer in the shirt too tight-shorts and socks does not sit well with my stomach...
The9 Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 Doesn't impact an online reveal. I'm sure they have photos of the damn thing. Yep, I've been playing the "type possible jpeg titles into the web page" game about once a week for a few minutes at a time since the pre-order started, but no luck yet.
revolution saint Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 OMG OMG OMG Heard what our new home kit looks like I like that - deliberately vague over the top exclamation that could be interpreted either way. That way you can judge what the collective "saintsweb" opinion is and then go against it.......clever.
trousers Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 OMG OMG OMG Heard what our new home kit looks like Don't believe you (no offence). PM for proof please m'lud. :-)

Saint Garrett Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 OMG OMG OMG Heard what our new home kit looks like ????? lol
SO16_Saint Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 I would buy that in a heartbeat I would 'have a moment' if that was the kit
OttawaSaint Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 ????? lol Oh please be this one, vintage Rank Xerox kit, the kind they wore at my very first game at the Dell...
dune Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 ha ha, thanks for the pm. I can't wait to see the reaction on here.

In other news: shorts are in, but do adults really buy the shorts? The thought of some red-faced, pie eating, huffer in the shirt too tight-shorts and socks does not sit well with my stomach... Well don't think about it then. I usually buy the full kit, though not usually all at the same time, and generally wear the shirts to matches and the rest to training. Last season I got the whole lot in one go, and then bought additional identical home socks from JJB for £3. The white Umbro home shirts from last season are excellently designed, really comfortable and good quality with the lining, though the black away shorts (which have the stripe down the side rather than around the bottom) seem to pull down at the back all of the time, which is something the white/red England away shorts which are the exact same design also do. I've got the last 5 sets of home shorts, only the St Mary's kits though - but to be fair I've also played for the Saints-kit wearing IFC team for most of that time. And what a startling revelation that the home shorts are black, as they have been for every season except last year since 1950.
The9 Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 I feel sad for you. It's ok, filled a spare minute, I've done a lot worse than that on here this week alone.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 ha ha, thanks for the pm. I can't wait to see the reaction on here. How original. (your post)
The9 Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 Just hope the sponsor is a flybe style stuck on afterthought. looks so ****e. looks ****e on the training stuff though sadly. I think the "stuck on sponsor afterthought" will actually look quite decent on a striped kit due to them not using a obviously bolted-on block, but a sensible outlined shape that's faithful to the sponsor's logo shape. So it's not just slapped on, and looks like some effort has gone into it. It mainly looks cack on the away kit and training kit because it wasn't designed to go one those, and there's also no reason for it to have the second outline colour on a plain shirt.
saint_bert Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 Ive missed the "you have a PM " posts flying round.
The9 Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 Oh please be this one, vintage Rank Xerox kit, the kind they wore at my very first game at the Dell... It's not going to be that. It could feasibly be a design with a broad stripe on the front but even if it is the Umbro logo won't be on the sleeve, the red won't be that colour, it won't have a number on the front, it won't have that collar, and the sponsor won't be that big or one colour like that. I'm surprised Umbro haven't sued someone for that crock of shoite mock up having their logo on it.
S-Clarke Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 ha ha, thanks for the pm. I can't wait to see the reaction on here. Let's not start that again
Nexstar Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 Cornsy69 looking forward to sat...memorial cup and the new shirt being worn for the 1st time! your going to be buzzing with it this season! I guess he means buzzing with the shirt?
saint lard Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 i am more excited that it is my birthday tomorrow than the unvailing of a football shirt. And that is saying something considering how many birthdays i have had.
djharvey Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 You are obsessed with me aren't you you wierdo. You trying to be clever is just like putting perfume on a pig!
Hatch Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 i am more excited that it is my birthday tomorrow than the unvailing of a football shirt. And that is saying something considering how many birthdays i have had. Happy Birthday. for tomorrow. Hope you get a new shirt.
bender Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 So, two new kits launched in the space of one week. Do they think supporters are made of money FFS ? Bet the parents of little ones are chuffed, they will want both no doubt. What with the 2 new kits and Season Tickets all coming out in the space of 3 weeks no wonder the bloody Marketing Manager left ! There were 3 months between the last match of the season and the first League match of this. Are you seriously telling me that the three "main events" could not have been spaced out better than this ? people dont have to get their kids both shirts just coz their kids want them. When I was a boy I only ever got a Saints shirt as a birthday present. If people wanna spoil their kids and just give in to their demands thats their problem. As a parent it winds me up when other parents shower their kids with stuff as some kind competition with other parents. That said, I might get my one year old a mini kit.

I don't know why you persist in ploughing some sort of self-proclaimed expert's furrow.
Smirking_Saint Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 OMG OMG OMG Heard what our new home kit looks like I heard it will be red and white and will have AAP and a saints badge on it ages ago TBF
Colinjb Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 My final guess ... Would be very happy with that, but I suspect that it may be a little more unusual.
Chez Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 I know the tittillation from SFC has been about `stars in stripes', suggesting star players wearing striped shirts, but could stars actually be part if the design in some way? The England kit has little coloured stars on the back doesn't it?

Thedelldays Posted 19 July, 2011 Posted 19 July, 2011 My Facebook friends have seen the snapshot of the new kit I have Can't really talk.... Too excited.!!!
