My money is on red whte version of this.

Mine isn't, the South American templates are a rule unto themselves, like the Japanese ones, they have designs you never see anywhere else.

Speaking of which, new Man City shirt is a bit... "hmmm". As far as design concepts go, "the dots reflect the pattern of a soundwave of fans singing Blue Moon" is a pretty tenuous link.

Nike, no thanks, they've never made a decent kit, and deserve to go bust for their sweatshop working practices!

Corporate profit giant yanks at their worst!

It is a design made by somebody on football shirt culture, not an actual kit...

Nike own Umbro and thus made the very popular Saints sash shirt for 2010/11. ;)

Nike have made hundreds of awesome kits. Arsenal's 1995 kit that saw Bergkamp's debut for a start, and the PSG kit of the same era. Their World Cup shirts of 2002 for various teams are classics already.

Anyway, we have an Umbro deal for another 2 seasons, corporate ownership aside.

I would go along with that. I tend to always like Arsenals away kit.

I wish...

On third look I like the Monaco shirt. Anyone else notice the apparent mix of sash and 76 - 80 Admiral kit?

Just noticed the detail on the cuffs as well. This This This. Not the biggest fan ok Nike, can't Umbro borrow it.

Oh & just remembered I've already been told its stripes of the traditional kind

And this is just a fantasy kit anyway, AS Monaco were wearing Macron (!) last season and haven't announced any change... yet.

Oh, and if anyone fancies a weird rumour from that bastion of truth football-rumours.co.uk, here's one for you :

I was on a tour today of Umbro's Design Workshop in Manchester as part of my university course and I was fortunate enough to see a demo of Southampton's new kit (I know... a bit boring) - it looks practically identical to the new Sunderland kit. However, there was no badge sewn on. I read these forums a fair bit and I have noticed some stuff going around that they may be changing that hideous crest of theres. So this could mean that there may be some truth in the rumours that they are changing their badge for next season?

That's a pile of assumptions right there. 1) saw a kit that looked like Sunderland's without a badge and therefore believed it to be Saints (when it could be Sunderlands!)

2) Inferred from that that the badge is changing, based on there not being a badge on the shirt and forums like this one making up stuff about the badge changing.

3) No mention of the Cosmos collar, which the Sunderland kit doesn't have, or the sponsor, or any other verifiable details to give credibility to the story.

4) If you're reading this, as you "read the Forums", feel free to add some meat to the bones !

does anyone know if mini-kits for babies are usually made available at shirt launch or do they follow later on? my boys birthday in october so hopefully be available before then.

You know I intially read this as 'mini-kits for babes' . Amazing what difference a single letter can make to the mental image caused. ;-)

Or someone has assumed that because we play in red and white stripes it must be our kit. I mean what fool could think that this on the left:

Could look anything like this:

And to assume that we are changing our badge is just plain stupid. As long as they don't do anything daft like replacing the 125 red nose with something daft like a football..... ;)

I agree with the gist of what you're saying but when receiving the tour might this person not have been told it was Southampton's new kit rather than assuming it simply because it's red and white?

If that wasn't so horribly photoshopped then it would be okay. Take the number off the front, make the sponsor logo slightly smaller and change the colour to a darker shade of red and it's fine.

Fairly sure we'll revert back to our normal stripe style though.

Of course, but there's nothing in that statement that suggests it...

Where did you find that? Archive?!

You obviously haven't noticed the p155-poor photoshop on the "S" of SFC... I'm guessing it's a Liverpool kit launch (from 2008 ).

So, the kit is launched on the 20th July, It'll go on sale on the 21st July........ but we can pre-order from the 30th June.

So, we can pre order it even if we don't know what it'll look like......

I've got a feeling they mean launched on 20th June because I cant see many people preordering upto a month in advance without even seeing the design.

New kit released on my birthday, how appropriate.

Other clubs seem to have just launched their kit, whereas we seem to have to have everything shrouded in mystery, and the dropping of hints and drip feeding info.

What a pointless article.

Exactly......why dont they just show us what the bloody thing will look like ?

Surely they arent going to keep it a closely guarded secret up until 20 July, thats just crazy and begs the question what kit will they play pre season friendlies in that come before 20 July, ie in Switzerland ?
