sidthesquid Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 I've not been a big fan of the diamond, but it definitely worked better with Dickson & Richardson because they are more attack-minded players. (To be fair Harding & Butterfield are better defenders.)
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 Good win, it's coming together, but could easily lose Saturday while Udders beat Posh. 5 points behind - 2 games in hand. Ain't so rosy is it? No time to take the foot off the pedal. Hope the injuries clear up. Well done lads, keep it going.
Avenue Saint Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 Excellent result. Sat back for 15 mins spells 1st n second half otherwise controlled the game! Special mentions for full backs and radi! Absolute brickhouse lol Hopefully nothing serious with injuries

Dickson played his best game in a saints shirt I thought.

For me, Butters has only just started showing what he is capable of as up until a few weeks ago I thought he was shít! Dickson however, got into positions that allowed him to attack whilst also being in a comfortable enough position to get back if Charlton hit us on the break. Something that Harding always gets caught out on. Dickson was strong in the challenge (i don't recall him going into a single challenge last night without coming away with the ball). He wasn't in the League One team of the Year for nothing you know.
Blandford saint Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 Still thought that there were too many crosses coming in our box, particularly in the first half, that I'm sure Harding and Butterfield would have cut out. Saw Jaidi having a few words with both full-backs at times. However, generally a very good, stress free performance. Jaidi looks like the ex-Premiership player that he is. Lambert's passing was brilliant. Let's hope that Adam is fit - we need him desperately.

Other than that fair comment, last night was the first time I haven't seen Dickson bottle his challenges or get muscled of the ball on a regular basis HTBH.
