saint lard Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 (edited) A nice and comfortable victory it seems. However the injuries are becoming a real burden of late. Fitness regime and levels may need a look at perhaps? Edited 5 April, 2011 by saint lard
Minsk Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 2 points behind Udders with 2 games in hand. Happy with that. Hope Adam is okay for Saturday!!!!
dubai_phil Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Easy Easy Easy Clearly the performance was down to the pre-match txt to Solent regarding to Mr Grumpy We're the happy we're the happy, we're the happy over here! Oh dear poor old Bompey as well
sfc4prem Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Good solid victory. Continues the great run coming up to some crucial matches. COYS
SW11_Saint Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Good win. Need to keep the momentum up in the next two tricky-ish away games (and hope Hudds don't take all 3 points v Posh).
alpine_saint Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Another good result keeping the pressure on Huddersfield. But yet more injuries....
doubleonothing Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Niccccce. Team P GD PTS 1 Brighton 39 42 84 2 Huddersfield 40 24 73 3 Southampton 38 37 71 4 Peterborough 40 26 70 5 MK Dons 40 6 65 6 Bournemouth 40 20 63 7 Rochdale 39 10 61 Bompey slipping up tonight. And us reeling in the Udds. If we do I think I might enjoy seeing the mrs' family next time!
Saint_Jonny Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Brilliant won at a canter it seems! Love it. Hopefully taking Lallana off was precautionary, we'll need him on Saturday! COYR
LVSaint Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 So glad Hudders didn't play, we can finally make the gap shorten regardless of games in hand. Hope the injuries are not serious. COYS!
adrian lord Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Going up is not an achievement - it is expected.
Griffo Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Right I'm going to say it. We are going to win the league.
alpine_saint Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Going up is not an achievement - it is expected. And one could argue its been bought and paid for...
ericofarabia Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Clean sh!t again. Did Kelv have to make a save? Nice to have a relatively straight forward evening after the meyham of Saturday. I'm sure there's plenty of scary moments before the end of the season that's certain.
Cascadia Saint Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Fully detailed table. Up to +37 goal difference...
Islander Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Great win but hope Lallana and Stephens are OK. The games against Orient and Rochdale will be very difficult as they are both breathing down Bompey's neck to get in the play offs.
Smirking_Saint Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Christ we have an unreal amount of injuries this season, I suppose it cannot be helped but it could cost us
saint lard Posted 5 April, 2011 Author Posted 5 April, 2011 Promotion is the minimum requirement. We aren't there yet....but it's so close you can almost smell it.
alpine_saint Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 For you alpine this is more appropriate. Allow me to return the compliment :
dune Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Really solid performance. but that's now gone. Roll on Orient away and then Rochdale away.
Dalek2003 Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 NA did well pulling Lallana and hope Stephens is not too bad. We are hitting a lot of injury problems but so are other teams. This is when the players who have been waiting on the sidelines come into their own. Good to see Connolly on the pitch today, could be important to us...if he can stay out the treatment room. The Dalek will be at Leyton on Saturday and looking forward to it !
Colinjb Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Christ we have an unreal amount of injuries this season, I suppose it cannot be helped but it could cost us I just hope Lallana and Dale were off as precaution. Manage the squad don't force it!!!
Cascadia Saint Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Great win but hope Lallana and Stephens are OK. The games against Orient and Rochdale will be very difficult as they are both breathing down Bompey's neck to get in the play offs. Could play into our hands if they actually come at us and let us get in on the counter...
View From The Top Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 A nice and comfortable victory it seems. However the injuries are becoming a real burden of late. Fitness regime and levels may need a look at perhaps? It would have never happen if Pardew had stayed or we had appointed a real manager FFS.
Liquidshokk Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Great win but hope Lallana and Stephens are OK. The games against Orient and Rochdale will be very difficult as they are both breathing down Bompey's neck to get in the play offs. From what I saw sat near the dugout Adam was absolutely fine when he came off went to sit in a seat but Adkins made him go to treatment room. Dale didn't look good when coming off but didn't look in pain when he was injured.
Minsk Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 This thread is great, I hope it doesn't get locked. Some real LOLs!!!!!!
alpine_saint Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Excellent. Draw wouldnt be terrible Saturday now, especially with rivals playing each other. Nope, we need to go for the jugular and keep up the momentum. Only a win is good enough. Why not get the job done ASAP and avoid the brown trousers ?
Deppo Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Fully detailed table. Up to +37 goal difference... Bournemouth's recent form stands out a mile there.
Marino Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Solid win - just what's reqd to maintain momentum. Well done boys.
Ohio Saint Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 It made a nice change to be relatively bored by the commentary instead of biting fingernails for the full 90. Well done Saints.
killer fan Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 have you noticed that most of are injuries have come from playing charlton there the new leeds
dune Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Bournemouth's recent form stands out a mile there. As does Rochdales... We need as many fans up there as possible.
Colinjb Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 LALALALALAAAAAAAAAAAAA Beer me up Herbert. The Saints are on fire!!!! LALALALSLAAAA
Viking Warrior Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 NA on injuries AL Recurrence of groin bit of tightening took him off wanted 60 minutes DS Nasty kick on archilles Couldt carry on chill him down Shut every body down 24/48 We are playing golf now just got to keep chipping away chipping away chipping away
Minsk Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Dale Stephens kick to achilles, couldn't carry on, too early to tell if he will be okay for Saturday. Adam Lallana felt his groin tightening. Sounds like he should be alright for the weekend.
ericofarabia Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 LOL what a question .... was it a precaution taking Stephens off? ... Listen .... he went off on a stretcher ... he couldn't stay on. Not heard any buses, rafts, KPI's or even looking after business or controlling the controllables. Pah .... i didn't stay up till affter 0100 for that!!
Minsk Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 NA on injuries AL Recurrence of groin bit of tightening took him off wanted 60 minutes DS Nasty kick on archilles Couldt carry on chill him down Shut every body down 24/48 We are playing golf now just got to keep chipping away chipping away chipping away Darn, you type quicker than I do!!
SNSUN Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Good win. Could yet do Bournemouth a favour over the next two games. Would take 4 points from 2 away games, two or three wouldn"t be bad either if Posh beat Huddersfield.
Minsk Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Great win but hope Lallana and Stephens are OK. The games against Orient and Rochdale will be very difficult as they are both breathing down Bompey's neck to get in the play offs. The fact that they are going for the play-offs mean both matches should be nice and open, which suits us.
hypochondriac Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Come on saints. Nice easy Tuesday win. Weston Saint will be pleased as he got the 2-0 he wanted to complete the set!
ericofarabia Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Feck me .... if that was a police identikit, Nige would be no 1 in the frame!!!
