scotty Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remembered- We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition; And gentlemen in England now-a-bed Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here, Or to put it another way get your arses down here I can honestly say thats the first time I've seen Shakespeare quoted on this forum. Top marks, Ken
suewhistle Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 I did, I said I could probably offload the ticket if he wanted me to, but said he would prefer to see a live game! A proper fan then, never mind who he supports!
ericofarabia Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 A proper fan then, never mind who he supports! ...... or doesn't want to witness Spurtz getting a 4 goal tonking!!
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 5 April, 2011 Author Posted 5 April, 2011 i was told that figure yesterday, just after lunch ! was it the spotty young lad with the glasses who told you? Yes it was! is that his stock answer?
angelman Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 How many did Charlton bring tonight? 200? Less? Pathetic, truly pathetic
The Cat Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 I took this during the first half. Appalling away support.
SaintBobby Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 I took this during the first half. Appalling away support. That's staggeringly bad. I think we'd probably have taken c.1,500 tonight to the Valley even if we were mid-table with nothing to play for.
dickyhale Posted 5 April, 2011 Posted 5 April, 2011 Our 6 season ticket seats will be empty tonight as we simply can't do midweek games in term time. Same as us....Can just about manage home games but the away mid week ones are a probblem. Thank god Rochdale away next week is a school holiday
StDunko Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 yeah, he was please he missed the spuds game after all!
Saint_clark Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 I took this during the first half. Appalling away support. w00t, i'm in that picture, i'm famous.
trousers Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 w00t, i'm in that picture, i'm famous. The one in the pink top...?
hughieslastminutegoal Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 I can honestly say thats the first time I've seen Shakespeare quoted on this forum. Top marks, Ken Are you saying it wasn't Steven Spielburg?
hughieslastminutegoal Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 I live in Stafford, bit far to come to drop one off. Your gas problem is not Saints related.
Ken Tone Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 I can honestly say thats the first time I've seen Shakespeare quoted on this forum. Top marks, Ken Yeah. It's surprising how few people know the "Or to put it another way get your arses down here " quote. From one of his lesser known plays, the football-based "The Comedy of Errors".
ericofarabia Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 ...... or doesn't want to witness Spurtz getting a 4 goal tonking!! DAMN AND BLAST - no Ladbrookes out here FFS. Anybody want to buy some Lotto numbers off me !!
angelman Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 I took this during the first half. Appalling away support. I am sorry, but that picture doesn't really show how bad it was. From that angle it looks like they had twice as many as they did.
STEVEADAMS Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 Am I the only one who thinks 20k is pretty rubbish? We are in the crunch of the season, away games are selling out left right and centre, this is a crucial game in hand and we've won the last 5 at home... Sod the poxy Champions League. Totally agree I would have thought games would be much higher with what is happening.
Saint_clark Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 "Away games are selling out left right and centre" - yes, but there are a lot less tickets available for away games...
JRM Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 "Away games are selling out left right and centre" - yes, but there are a lot less tickets available for away games... it is still a smaller crowd than I'd expected, we would have got that earlier in the season for a less significant fixture, I had expected the run in attendances to be getting up towards 25k+ , Bristol Rovers should being a couple of thousand away fans so I will be disappointed if we don't get over 25k for that one.

That will also be on a saturday with no champions league games to tempt a few people away, so of course it will be much higher.
dellgirl Posted 6 April, 2011 Posted 6 April, 2011 i THINK THEY SAID AT HALF TIME 20,012 AND VERY FEW CHARLTON FANS PERHAPS 100.
Saintandy666 Posted 8 April, 2011 Posted 8 April, 2011 http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D2/attend.html We have the highest attendance in the league by quite a bit this year(if you ignore the percentage of stadium full indicator).
The9 Posted 8 April, 2011 Posted 8 April, 2011 i THINK THEY SAID AT HALF TIME 20,012 AND VERY FEW CHARLTON FANS PERHAPS 100. There were 300-and-something Charlton, extremely low for them even compared to their season away average. Thanks for shouting, btw.
Sergei Gotsmanov Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D2/attend.html We have the highest attendance in the league by quite a bit this year(if you ignore the percentage of stadium full indicator). Huddersfield have grown their fan base over the last decade.
Thedelldays Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 our lowest attendance is higher than everyone elses highest bar 2 other teams....lol
John B Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 Although the Stadium looked pretty empty and there was no atmosphere where I was 20k Saints supporters was a pretty good figure
Saintandy666 Posted 9 April, 2011 Posted 9 April, 2011 So case closed on this attendance nonsense? We are in league 1 ffs!
