NickG Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 Sublime skill intense work rate great character and committment League 1 doesn't deserve performances like his. If he carries on like this, and sticks around he will be a name we talk about for years
Saint Charlie Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 Agreed. Could become a Saints legend. Great player.
Turkish Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 Sublime skill intense work rate great character and committment League 1 doesn't deserve performances like his. If he carries on like this, and sticks around he will be a name we talk about for years This for me, we all know how skillful he is but his desire and commitment was first class today. He was knackered at the end, yet still sprinted chasing players down when MK had a corner on 90 mins, then sprited to run the ball into the corner just after, fantastic to see that desire and work rate.
Bailey Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 If he sticks around beyond the expiry of his current four-year contract, then I genuinely believe he can become a Saints legend. The guy is a class above, we're so fortunate to have a player of his ilk and quality plying his trade with us in the third tier of English football.
Tamesaint Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 My son is 18 years old. He is called Matthew. There are a lot of lads his age called Matthew in the Southampton area. I think that soon there will be a lot of lads called Adam growing up in Southampton.
LGTL Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 And to think CMS won L1 player of the year, what an injustice. Lallana has been a class above all season.

Wanted to kiss him!
Gis Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 ........last one off the pitch today and looking like he's loving it here
um pahars Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 I admired his chicken like second half runs as much as his sublime skill today. He was running his socks off at the end. Top man.
benjii Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 He is the first player since LeTiss who could genuinely be thought of as a legend.
Icey Saint Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 Thought they were going to have to carry him off the pitch at the end he gave everything today as all are saying heading towards legend status give home the number 7 shirt next season !!
Junior Mullet Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 Hope he's still here when we get back to the Prem - he would deserve that more than any other.
LGTL Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 IF we do go up this season, we wouldn't have done it without him. He has carryed us in numerous games, and I think Cortese and Adkins deserve credit for keeping him here, although he actually comes across as intelligent in his interviews so that probably helped too. He's the first player since Le Tiss who can win us a game pretty much on his own.

Whitey Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 My man of the match today. He's the one player who can grab the game by the scruff of the neck when we need it. Pure class.
Thedelldays Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 if only we managed to keep Surman...what a midfield that would have been
Saint_Ash Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 I reckon he's here for life. No other team will get the performances from him that he gives Saints. Red and White runs through his veins! He just loves it, and he loves it we all love him!
Smirking_Saint Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 And to think, there were a large number of forumers who thought he was crap 2 years ago. Jesus christ
Liquidshokk Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 I left the stadium late today after watching a bit of the arsenal game in the concourse, saw Adam fighting his way through hoards of people to get to his shiny new BMW X6. Did look odd someone that small and young driving one of those and made me think I need a career change, fast. You could say he deserves it.... Would he be on 10k a week do we reckon? Poor guy, must have taken him a few weeks to save up for that beauty....
THEVMAN Posted 3 April, 2011 Posted 3 April, 2011 I just hope Saints go up this year i know Adam would love to stay and get them into the Premiership but if it goes pearshaped i fear he will have to move on (fingers crossed).
Saint Charlie Posted 4 April, 2011 Posted 4 April, 2011 I just hope Saints go up this year i know Adam would love to stay and get them into the Premiership but if it goes pearshaped i fear he will have to move on (fingers crossed). Clearly he will leave if we stay in L1 - rightly so. But if we go up Im sure he will be very motivated next season.
