Baj Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 Not used the car wash by Asda/Marland before, anyone know if it's still going (I know these places get shut down all the time due to illegal labour) and anyone know if they will also do inside of the car?

Wilton Road used to be the best around but then went downhill FAST under the last owners. Haven't used them since the most recent change of ownership a few weeks ago, but now would only try them again if I was desperate. The one by ASDA is hit and miss as to how well they clean and I avoid them now as there's much better around. The Turkish fellas at the Jet garage on Paynes Road have always been good, but not been there in a fair few months. The two best ones by a LONG way are the one opposite the train station entrance (Toys R Us side) and DIDA by The Station Pub / Kwik Fit on Bitterne Road. Both do a brilliant job every time with their respective owners quality checking each job and getting the cleaners to redo things if something's not up to their high standards. Go to either one of these two and you'll never want to take your car anywhere else.

Always well impressed with the service,the english guy who owns it is a top guy,as is Yuri the latvian friend of Marian Pahars who is the manager.

Fair enough, but I'd rather pay someone else to do it and gain a couple of hours, and if they're good enough for a taxi driver who relies on the cleanliness of his car for business, they'll do for me

Essruu Posted 23 June, 2011 Posted 23 June, 2011 My criticism of the Bedford Hand Car Wash on Wilton Avenue can now be ignored. New owners have come in today. Only called by there because I was desperate, didn't know they'd changed hands and was expecting the usual sub-standard job (particularly as I pulled in 5mins before they were due to close!) Best, most thorough job for a long long time anywhere. Absolutely immaculate. You may all now use them again.

The one near toys R us is good, not had an internal from them. I have just ordered a George carpet cleaner as I am getting OCD in my prime age....

Liquidshokk Posted 24 June, 2011 Posted 24 June, 2011 DIDA by the quick fit in Bitterne is the best if you want the full works. Very thorough and friendly. Fir a quick part hand wash/part machine wash the Arc at sainsburys hedge end is a good external clean for a fiver.
