doddisalegend Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Well done bompey. Right time to twonk the Dons and move up to 3rd tomorrow
Griffo Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 3 points behind posh with 3 games in hand.....fergie is turning them around lol 2 points isn't it?
Appy Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 I'd have Davis over Lewis anyday, how did he get called up to the full England squad?
thegaffer Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 looks like we will want Borough to beat Huddersfield and everything will look quite rosy. COYRS
Thedelldays Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 I always liked bompey....lovely club. if huddersfield dont win tomorrow we really will have ourselves and ourselves only to blame....posh are bottling it
Willo Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Brilliant result. Haveto add that Fletcher seems a thoroughly decent bloke in his post match interview. A good honest pro.
SimonC Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Glad to be of service....never doubted the lads... Actually could yet see us make the play offs. See you at OT
pedg Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 I always liked bompey....lovely club. if huddersfield dont win tomorrow we really will have ourselves and ourselves only to blame....posh are bottling it Hopefully they will be able to recover to get another draw in this one: Saturday, 9 April 2011 Huddersfield v Peterborough, 15:00
Appy Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Brilliant result. Haveto add that Fletcher seems a thoroughly decent bloke in his post match interview. A good honest pro. Probably because he is.
thegaffer Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Sat 9 April away to Orient is the day we go second!!
Littlelat17 Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 3 points behind posh with 3 games in hand.....fergie is turning them around lol 2 Points behind Posh with 3 in hand 5 Points behind 'Uddersfield with 3 in hand
Sambib Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Nice result for you guys. Reckon you will easily get second behind us, but y'never know, we could muck up from here. I was thinking Posh could push you for it at the start of the game; especially after going 2-0 up, but if you get the three points tomorrow and Hudders drop some points either this week or next you've probably got it sorted.
Thedelldays Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 SURELY...SURELY huddersfield are going to drop points somewhere....making our required total even less.... come on..
Sambib Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 SURELY...SURELY huddersfield are going to drop points somewhere....making our required total even less.... come on.. Especially as Posh could easily get a draw with them when they play each other
pedg Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 2 Points behind Posh with 3 in hand 5 Points behind 'Uddersfield with 3 in hand Not to mention a 10 better goal difference compared to Posh and a 12 better goal difference compared to uddersfield.
Appy Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 SURELY...SURELY huddersfield are going to drop points somewhere....making our required total even less.... come on.. Draw next Saturday i reckons .
thegaffer Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Borough total points possible 88. Saints points total possible 95
Thedelldays Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Draw next Saturday i reckons . if that happens...that must make our required total as little as 20 points. ffs, surely we are good enough to get 18 points or so from 30...
Right sider Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Back from the dead in this game. Posh don't do 0-0's do they. Another bad result in our locker. If we don't go up as 2nd this year it will rank with the Wayman season.
bender Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 I reckon tranny might get something tomorrow. Come on Saints. This is there for the taking.
Thedelldays Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 I reckon tranny might get something tomorrow. Come on Saints. This is there for the taking. even if they dont..you would expect hudderfield to at least draw two games....at least...
Saint Without a Halo Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Ferguson is a real prat! Looks like he is about to cry on his post match interview!
View From The Top Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 even if they dont..you would expect hudderfield to at least draw two games....at least... They'll beat Tranmere but we really want Posh to beat them now.
latter day saint Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Ferguson is a real prat! Looks like he is about to cry on his post match interview! i would love to see that ! arrogant little c*nty bastard!
Thedelldays Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 They'll beat Tranmere but we really want Posh to beat them now. hudders have the posh at home, which will be hard but they have to go to charlton, MK Dons and Brighton..they simply will not win them all....I reckon 20 points max will do it for us..... I desperately hope we clinch it at argyle...
Badger Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Nice result for you guys. Reckon you will easily get second behind us, but y'never know, we could muck up from here. I was thinking Posh could push you for it at the start of the game; especially after going 2-0 up, but if you get the three points tomorrow and Hudders drop some points either this week or next you've probably got it sorted. Never underestimate our ability to self-destruct!!! Apart from that, heres hoping the next week sees us move into second place...and stay there.
beatlesaint Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 So they have failed to win their last 3 games which by that arrogant git Fergies target means they have to win all 7 of their remaining games !
scotty Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 i would love to see that ! arrogant little c*nty bastard! +1 fergie, youre a c*nt, fergie fergie youre a c*nt....
beatlesaint Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Never underestimate our ability to self-destruct!!! Unfortunately that is all too true, its not like we haven't done it before is it ?
dickyhale Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Was at work in the week watching sky sports news and Fat head Darren Ferguson reckons peterbrough will win there last all their remaining games starting at Bournemouth. Would like to say well done Bournemouth and keep you mouth shut Ferguson.........
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Nice result for you guys. Reckon you will easily get second behind us, but y'never know, we could muck up from here. I was thinking Posh could push you for it at the start of the game; especially after going 2-0 up, but if you get the three points tomorrow and Hudders drop some points either this week or next you've probably got it sorted. Altogether a pleasant result. Though I'd imagine that most of us are being quietly circumspect until we know exactly what is happening with our season, rather than count our chickens and appear arrogant! Not a dig @ you B.T.W.!
Colinjb Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Thank you Cherries!!!! What a cracking result for us. Now it's time for 'Uddersfield to have a stumble.
dune Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 I switched it off at h/t and watched benidorm. Brilliant result for us.
Crab Lungs Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Brilliant result. Haveto add that Fletcher seems a thoroughly decent bloke in his post match interview. A good honest pro. Agreed. Though whenever I do see him, he reminds me of a real life kids figurine toy :-o
SimonC Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Surely its you or Posh for second - don't rate Hudd.
Colinjb Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Surely its you or Posh for second - don't rate Hudd. Yet they are on a club record run of wins. Surely it has to come to an end at some point.....
Doctoroncall Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Got to like this... http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/football/peterborough-united/posh_promotion_special_why_posh_will_be_in_the_championship_next_season_1_2542248
SuperSAINT Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Fantastic result. Peterborough have started conceding goals again, which is a massive plus. We just have to overcome a VERY good MK Don's team tomorrow.
Colinjb Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Got to like this... http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/football/peterborough-united/posh_promotion_special_why_posh_will_be_in_the_championship_next_season_1_2542248 The interesting part: Top 10 1 Darren Ferguson (Posh) 139pts 2 Gus Poyet (Brighton) 129 3 Nigel Adkins (Southampton) 125 4 John Sheridan (Chesterfield) 116 5 Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea) 114 6 Russell Slade (L Orient) 113 7 Alex Ferguson (Man Utd) 112 8 Karl Robinson (MK Dons) 104 9 Arsene Wenger (Arsenal) 103 10 John Coleman (Accrington) 103 Half of the managers there and all of the top 3 are in League 1. Just shows the high standard of achievement in the league this year, the teams that go up really will have earnt it.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Make that 2. Game over Unlike you Steve, to get it wrong. I still don't think we will do it, mainly because we are simply not playing well.
stevegrant Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Yet they are on a club record run of wins. Surely it has to come to an end at some point..... Au contraire, a record run unbeaten, but they've drawn loads of games. 8 of their unbeaten run of 18 games have been draws.
stevegrant Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Unlike you Steve, to get it wrong. I still don't think we will do it, mainly because we are simply not playing well. Brighton have demonstrated that you don't need to play well to win games (as have we on a number of occasions this season) - if the belief is there, that will often be the key factor. By all accounts they've been woeful in their last two games (home to Notts County and away at Dagenham), but they've scraped them both 1-0. I'll take a terrible performance and one going in off Lee Barnard's arse tomorrow if it means three points.
Colinjb Posted 1 April, 2011 Posted 1 April, 2011 Au contraire, a record run unbeaten, but they've drawn loads of games. 8 of their unbeaten run of 18 games have been draws. Ah, touché. It is time for them to come a little unstuck, either way.
