Guided Missile Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 (edited) ...the horror story that was our relegation season seems to have prepared our former Chairman well for his latest venture. He seems to be intent on carving out a career in the movie business. "Going Wilde" teeshirts have to make way for "Going to Watch a Wildcard Film". I have been lucky enough to watch a trailer of our former Chairman's first foray into moviemaking and those interested can watch it here. Saints fans will, upon careful viewing, recognise many scenes from the boardroom from our last Championship season. I am looking forward to their next productions, which have been announced here. Good luck to the guy. As they say, you can't keep a good man down.... Edited 31 March, 2011 by Guided Missile

Barry the Badger Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 Interesting that he doesn't list his experience as Southampton FC Chairman. Perhaps that's because he ran us into the ground.
holepuncture Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 Interesting spot GM - not sure what you mean about the boardroom though! "Michael Wilde is Chairman of Wildcard Films and has a diverse range of business interests, including Chairman of Merlion Housing, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of affordable homes." I wonder what he is bringing to the table as Chairman and Executive producer of these budget films?
DT Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 Thought this was going to be about Rupert Lowe. 'The revenge of the ruddy faced arrse 2' or perhaps 'Roops versus the North London yobbos 3'

benali-shorts Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 Presumably he got on this tax avoidance bandwagon just after the revenue closed the loophole. Always one step behind, our erstwhile off-shore friend.......
once_bitterne Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 He used to log onto this site every day, but acording to his profile he hasn't been here since 14th Feb. Maybe the novelty has worn off now King Kenny has returned to Liverpool."COYR"

To be fair, I think Johnny Bognor's film production was far better. The best boardroom film you will ever see.

He has a real Midas touch!
