OK, this has been nicked from United's song towards City, and it's a take on an obscure Mancunian classic, but I think the adapted lyrics fit well for our friends down the road.

So this is how it feels to be Pompey,

This is how it feels to be small,

This is how it feels when your club's worth nothing at all.

Tons of decent songs have been suggested, but they rarely get sung. Have tried that a few times though and it hasn't particularly caught on.

TBF I think the City to Utd "This city is ours.." that Bompey sing to us would work well as:

"This county is ours, this county is ouuurrs, f off now P*mpey this county is ours"

or Hampshire is ours, either/or

Better than that crap we've stole from Man Utd in recent weeks...

"We do what we want, we do what we want. We are Southampton, we do what we want"

Embarrassing.

absolutely. this particular song is cringeworthy. heard it at charlton one row infront of me, and after making my opinion clear to the teens who were singing it, it wasn't sung again. it's the sort of chant i imagine turkish would be 'dead proud' of.

It was only sung because we were told to sit down and didn't. It was still completely ****, though.

Now, now that isn't very nice and friendly. Loads of good songs, although an awful lot more crap ones, have been mentioned on here before but they never take off. The last three or four games our support has been very good to be fair.

Apart from Pompey have won more than us.

United fans sing it to mock City’s lack of trophy’s compared to their own success. Maybe Pompey should sing it to us…

I've heard "We don't care about you, we don't care about you, we are Southampton, we don't care about you" sung at quite a few games recently. I think after it caught on at Bompey a few mongs thought it should be a regular.

Count yourself lucky one of them didn't snake you.

Ah, I had no idea we had already sung it at games. Oh well.

I cannot believe anyone would call Inspiral Carpets obscure!!!

I knew someone would come out with a post like this. I would say a few people on this board haven't heard of them, especially the younger section of our fanbase.

No way, really? Could that be why I changed "won" with "worth" for our version?
