I notice you are about to get re-runs of full editions of TOTP on BBC 4

OK so you can argue they are filling space with more repeats or who wants to watch has beens miming all over again, but I'm sure some of those shows now contain some classic moments..

But I was horrified to realise that Pan's People were put out to grass in 1976...

Jeez all those teenage years.....

And it suddenly horrified me to think (yikes like Diana Rigg who is now 63) they will all be OLD

Arrgh so are so many of us...

Anyway for the oldies

They were pretty tame to be honest .... but these girls (and unfortunately boys) were the biz ... and all done in the best possible taste!! :poundit:

Probably the nearest any of us teenagers of the time got to porn without actually buying a porno mag back in the pre innernet days. Yoof of today don't know they're born FFS!!

Probably best not watch at work though, slightly NSFW ish.

I met one at soton airport when I worked there. She was one of those permaorange perfume reps. Really lovely and told me that the 'scene' back then was Really hedonistic and the amount of celebs, politicians and royalty she partied with was unreal.

I know that 'scene' has been well documented and reported on but sitting in the staff canteen hearing it from a woman who my dad was mesmerised by was interesting. Memory not brilliant but iirc her name was Jo Or Jan, one of you dirty old pervs might be able to help with that bit?

When I was doing my Commercial Licence at Oxford ATS in the seventies I was friendly with an ex Viet Nam war 1st Air Cav Helicopter crewman who had started a helicopter pilot course. Everything didn't seem right about him as he was engaged to Dee Dee Wilde and she was supposed to be paying for his course (about the price of a semi detached house at the time). The management wouldn't let him start flying until the money was paid. In the end he disappeared leaving all his stuff at the pub we were living in in Woodstock. I ended up with his Janes military aircraft book, enormous, given to him by Dee Dee and signed by Dee Dee on their engagement. His other claim to fame was getting in a fight at the studios with the Jackson Five + minders after trying to clatter Michael who he described as a little ****. Not long after that he disappeared.
