Matthew Le God Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 ...possibly. Down to their large wages and lack of motivation. On the eve of the new season Jan has said that Kelvin may be sold along with Rasiak, Saga and Skacel if an offer comes in before end of window. He also talked Bart up as a replacement if Kelvin does go with Forecast as a reserve behind Bart. Thoughts?
Matthew Le God Posted 7 August, 2008 Author Posted 7 August, 2008 I got the impression Stern John will stay and battle it out with McGoldrick for the striker role. With Raziak and Saga sold.
exit2 Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 ...possibly. Down to their large wages and lack of motivation. large wages I think dont you?
eurosaint Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 large wages I think dont you? JP actually said that they were the highest earners, yes !
Master Bates Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Can you see anyone wanting to buy davis? My mum needs a new sex toy tbf. Don't forget Euell by the way.
Matthew Le God Posted 7 August, 2008 Author Posted 7 August, 2008 large wages I think dont you? thats what i said? along with poor motivation
derry Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Sounds good to me, we can bring in a few more youngsters like Schneiderlin/Holmes.

I will agree he said saga, Kelvin, rasiak and Rudi may well be gone.
toofarnorth Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Well this is basically what we all new already. Just from the horses mouth now.
Saints67 Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Was Euell mentioned? I heard him being talked about but not whether he was in the shop window.
Master Bates Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Was Euell mentioned? I heard him being talked about but not whether he was in the shop window. He was mentioned in the same sentence as Rasiak and high wages like Euell, Rasiak, blaah high wages blaah
Matthew Le God Posted 7 August, 2008 Author Posted 7 August, 2008 Well this is basically what we all new already. Just from the horses mouth now. about Saga, Rasiak and Skacel maybe. but it looked like Davis was going to keep the keeper shirt at least in the short to medium term. not anymore, however i do expect him to start aslong as he is still here i.e. cardiff until he is sold before end of month

eurosaint Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Was Euell mentioned? I heard him being talked about but not whether he was in the shop window. never heard his name at all, it was only Saga, Rasa and Rudi at the time and then Kelvin was mentioned towards the end of the show !
John B Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 (edited) It is nothing new though is it Edited 7 August, 2008 by John B
Saints67 Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 thats basically what he implied But he didn't say it did he?
um pahars Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 thats basically what he implied I don't think he implied that at all. And having heard Kelvin talk about the new set up, I don't think he is unmotivated. The simple fact is that anyone on a decent wedge was told ages ago that they could go if they found themselves another club because their wages were too high.
benjii Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 If Davis wasn't for sale we wouldn't have signed Forecast. Not really a shock. Possibly not the best plan to announce it publicly but I suppose everyone knows we're skint anyway...
toofarnorth Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 about Saga, Rasiak and Skacel maybe. but it looked like Davis was going to keep the keeper shirt at least in the short to medium term. not anymore, however i do expect him to start aslong as he is still here i.e. cardiff until he is sold before end of month Yeah actually KD would be most missed out of those mentioned although everyone said Bart did quite well the other night. It's another thing to rely on him to perform week in week out though I suppose.
explorer saint Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Pleased we know who is in the managers plans and whos not. Hope rasiak does not go to another CC club otherwise happy with all the rest. Agree Forecast was never signed to be no 3
Legod Second Coming Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Yeah actually KD would be most missed out of those mentioned although everyone said Bart did quite well the other night. It's another thing to rely on him to perform week in week out though I suppose. To be fair he was doing fine until injury against the Toon.
saintwarwick Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Can you see anyone wanting to buy davis? Same thing the Sunderland fans said..............
AwaySaint1 Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Can you see anyone wanting to buy davis? Could we not do a Ali Dia with him? There must be other keepers called Davis.
1965onwards Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Bart got injured against Toon because of a lack of knowing waht he was doing.
Legod Second Coming Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Bart got injured against Toon because of a lack of knowing waht he was doing. What, like having knees... yep, bet he suddenly looked down and went "Feck my legs have bent..." in Polish obviously.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Yeah actually KD would be most missed out of those mentioned although everyone said Bart did quite well the other night. It's another thing to rely on him to perform week in week out though I suppose. That's right. Bart made a real howler against Basingstoke, gifting them the lead.
Legod Second Coming Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 That's right. Bart made a real howler against Basingstoke, gifting them the lead. Cheer up. I used to watch when Bruce was in goal going from 2-0 to losing 6-2... how did that happen bungy er I mean Brucey...
1965onwards Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Can't remember the exact circumstances of his injury LGSC,but i remember noting at the time that his positioning was pathetic, and this resulted in him i think injuring himself come down from a catch awkwardly when the catch should have been comfortable.

You could say the same about Tiger's swing I guess then...
JustMike Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 where / how did you hear of this? Or is it just your take on what is going to happen?
John B Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 where / how did you hear of this? Or is it just your take on what is going to happen? It is from the Forum there is another thread which explains it better
NickG Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 think its more accurate to say "for sale" rather than "to be sold". Will depend on who is interested and how much we get for first one to go etc as finances may look better.
John B Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Bart got injured against Toon because of a lack of knowing waht he was doing. Dexter Blackstock certainly made me laugh when he went into goal
hugh Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Slightly surprised at the news that Davis is for sale, but needs must. Hope we get a decent fee for him if he does go. Not yet convinced Bart has his confidence back, but at least in the Stoke game he remembered the new gameplan requires him to roll the ball out to one of our players, rather then hoof the ball upfield like KD.
westofshannonsaint Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Dexter Blackstock certainly made me laugh when he went into goal remember the gloves.... they were about 3 sizes to big. & yes at that time Bart was Niemi in disguise.
AwaySaint1 Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Dexter Blackstock certainly made me laugh when he went into goal Blackstock and Davis is not a good combo in the same thread(winki thing).

Saint Bones Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 I The simple fact is that anyone on a decent wedge was told ages ago that they could go if they found themselves another club because their wages were too high. Bingo !

The simple fact is that anyone on a decent wedge was told ages ago that they could go if they found themselves another club because their wages were too high. Will be inteteresting to see who will be the highest-paid person at the club at the end of the next financial year. My guess is it will be Lowe by a light-year.....
saintwarwick Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 Will be inteteresting to see who will be the highest-paid person at the club at the end of the next financial year. My guess is it will be Lowe by a light-year..... Lowe doesn't play for the club.
alpine_saint Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 Lowe doesn't play for the club. Erm, no, but he's an employee............
alpine_saint Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 I'd like to know why Jan "the Man" if he is so positive as people claim from the Solent Forum and other contacts, cannot win round and motivate one or two of these players to deliver the goods we know they are capable of ?
saintwarwick Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 Erm, no, but he's an employee............ So what's that got to do with the players wages? Every band has a different wage structure.
alpine_saint Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 So what's that got to do with the players wages? Every band has a different wage structure. Reckon you need to read my original post again. I said "person" at the club. Oh, and you need to get of bed on the right side, it seems.........
saintwarwick Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 Reckon you need to read my original post again. I said "person" at the club.
