I beat you to it. I waited round the corner on the main road, I booed and gave the w*nker sign to every motor to make sure I didnt miss him.

I am afraid i trump you all on that. I was there on the day of his birth and shouted obscenities at him as he was coming down the birth canal, and then slapped his mum round the chops for giving birth to such a useless footballer. Just on the off chance he ever played for Saints!!!

confused .... thought transfer window was closed?

He's a first year apprentice, I think they're able to transfer at any time (which is a rule that needs to change really, as clubs have next to no chance of keeping their good young players)

Spoke to someone on Saturday afternoon who confirmed it is done. I assume the club are not announcing it as it is only for the Academy at present. He is not old enough to sign a main contract.

As for Chaimberlain, he said it was an ankle injury but everyone within the club are keeping very quiet on what tye of injury and how bad it is. Official line is that he is resting it and will be assessed in 2 weeks.

Surely they will announce it sometime?

Last 'official' news was plymouth's OS saying he was impressed by us but was taking 24 hours to think it over and discuss with his parents ..and that was before the weekend.

Certain Plymouth will announce it. Even if Saints don't. It's money injected into the club therefore they will have to announce it to please the fans.

Wonder what the hold up is?? Comes to something when I refreshing to see if a 17 year old academy player has signed lol!!!

Maybe there is more red tape when signing an apprentice mid-season? Maybe there are increased checks for things like tapping up, welfare etc...

No idea, just a guess.

has joined Saints from Plymouth for a fee of £150,000."

Despite inaccurate local press reports suggesting otherwise, Jack signs a three year contract with the club - the maximum contract length allowed to a scholar signing his first professional deal, as stated in the FIFA regulations

He won't be eligible for first team action just yet, as he has signed outside of the transfer window.
