I hat ebeing a Southampton fan, P*rtsmouth are laughing their fishy ****s off at us, utterly embarrassing, utterly ridiculous, utterly relegated. League 1 next season.

The next time any skate says anything just remind them where their chairman gets his blood money from :

All PFC's 'success' is built on the bodies of dead or maimed Africans including innocent children mutilated by filthy landmines , personally I'd rather the Saints disappeared and they replaced SMS with a housing estate before I'd want that kind of person involved with my club - however wealthy they are .

Is it just me or are a lot of our problems stemming fron Davis's inability to move from his line from dead-balls. He may be a great shot-stopper but three goals from set-piece crosses worries me. Everybody here gives stick to our two young fullbacks, but I didn't see much wrong with them. Our problem, time after time after time, over the last three years has been set-pieces - common link - Kelvin Davis. I noticed in the second half, when Saints were defending at my end, that all their corners/throws were aimed at the six-yard line & not once did Davis come out and punch or catch. And once the ball is bobbling around in that zone you are in trouble - and we often are....

I noticed a lot of people giving Davis a rating of 6 and the defenders 3s and 4s, saying it was not his fault how bad the defenders were, but I'm afraid it's not the defence that is the root of our problems, it his inability to dominate his box.

Sid you have a point. Watched the sky short showing the goals. Looked even worse than at SMS. Davis was stuck as you say and giving no verbals to his defence. I thought the keeper told his defenders where he wanted them. Though this doesn't stop us wincing everytime teams attack our end. Maybe the confidence would be helped with a change but who do we pick.

Biggest load of ****e since the last crap game at SMS, 'total football'...total crap more like.

Lowe & Wilde should be ashamed of themselves and be prosecuted under the trade discrimination act, I did not see any football played by SFC today

Mcgoldrick & Wotton should be ashamed of themselves, neither looked confident when taking the penalties.........shyisters, the lot of em.......totally ****ing useless, no wonder the crowds are staying away!!!!!!!!

It is not just you thinking this. I wholeheartedly agree. Just look at what happened when we got a decent keeper in last season. We suddenly stopped shipping goals because opposition teams realised that they had to do more than just punt it to the six yard box, where Davis is constantly, and hideously exposed. He is an awful keeper and we are going down unless he gets 'injured' again. Mind you, we need some defenders too...

Davis is a great shot stopper. If he was great at coming for crosses as well he wouldn't be playing for a poor championship side.

Davis has been outstanding in the games i've seen this season and saved Saints from some even bigger defeats.

Would you rather Bart played after his performance against Rotherham?

Davis needs to force his defenders out further, and come out and punch or catch the crosses fired into our goal area.

These are all valid points but shouldn't it be the coaching staff and the training routines that should be sorting out these problems? They've had a two-week break but according to JVP it's all down to the players:

"I left the first half XI on the field because they had to

make it right and do it themselves and I told them to do that."

When you see the tactical deficiencies of most of the players, who have been allegedly coached since 8 year olds, it does make one wonder about the coaching.

Wide players playing narrow, inability to defend in depth, ie always square, players like McGoldrick who can't even strike the ball cleanly with his good foot, allowing the ball to bounce when defending, inability to compete and jump and head the ball, covering, marking players by standing off, it goes on and on.

This is what I find so frustrating, and why I get so angry when I'm watching. Defending properly is a discipline in itself and yet our club seems to think it's not important. Having said that, Jack Cork was letting the ball bounce on Saturday and it caused him problems once or twice.

Regardless of anything else in the game we showed the sort of levels of abject incompetence that relegated us from the Premier League - all three goals and both penalties were of utter numpty levels, it was embarrassingly bad.

We gifted a crap Watford team three points for just turning up.

Time to regroup and show that they can learn fast for tomorrow night.
