My thoughts entirely - I'm not at all surprised, this sort of scenario is fast becoming the 'norm' at SMS. We are a very very poor team, I fear that many of these young lads will get no benefit at all from being thrown to the lions like this every week.

We need a new (tall) defender (maybe that Gerrard guy we were after in August?). Svensson could have been that guy but we can't trust him to be fit every week.
