Turkish Posted 23 March, 2011 Posted 23 March, 2011 With Lallana and and Chamberlain out injured this is Jonno Quicks opportunity to step up to the plate and show why he is so highly regarded by the manager. The guy now has the opportunity to prove himself as an inspired signing and cover himself in glory. Come on Jonno Quick, this is your time. Stand up, tap Chamberlain and Lallana on the shoulder and say "out of the way you pair of crocks, it's all about me now" Jonno Quick is going to be the man to do the business. FACT
Saint Charlie Posted 23 March, 2011 Posted 23 March, 2011 He looked ok when he came on, made some good runs but didn't really get picked out.
Turkish Posted 23 March, 2011 Author Posted 23 March, 2011 He is going to be a MASSIVE player for us in the run in.
doddisalegend Posted 23 March, 2011 Posted 23 March, 2011 I would have thought it was more likely Dicksons chance If Adams crocked surely it's Dickson LW?
Turkish Posted 23 March, 2011 Author Posted 23 March, 2011 oh dear =/ Can u just remind you of these comments... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2281315,00.html In particular "he's lightening quick, When i talk about quick players i ask "is he Jonno quick?" "he's got unbelievable pace and strength, he gets that ball and he runs with it in behind and he scores goals, I training some of the stuff that he does- he's unplayable"

Jones91 Posted 23 March, 2011 Posted 23 March, 2011 Sounds more like Didier Drogba to me... Nah, his name definitely sounds more like **** than Drogba
Turkish Posted 23 March, 2011 Author Posted 23 March, 2011 Sounds more like Didier Drogba to me... Drogba isn't jonno quick.
Scudamore Posted 23 March, 2011 Posted 23 March, 2011 Are you annoyed about something Turkish? You seem agitated...
Turkish Posted 23 March, 2011 Author Posted 23 March, 2011 Are you annoyed about something Turkish? You seem agitated... Thanks for your concearn, but no. I am just looking forward to Jonno Quick stepping up to the ocky and hitting a 180.

Turkish Posted 23 March, 2011 Author Posted 23 March, 2011 The oche? I'm not sure darts is Jonno Quick's game... I was talking in Adkins speak, we are like Red Rum remember, Jonno Quick is like Phil "the Power" Taylor. FACT.
Scudamore Posted 23 March, 2011 Posted 23 March, 2011 I was talking in Adkins speak, we are like Red Rum remember, Jonno Quick is like Phil "the Power" Taylor. FACT. Nexstar Posted 23 March, 2011 Posted 23 March, 2011 Forte has looked quick and sharp in the last couple of games that he has featured in. Good pace and vision to go with his attacking intent. People on here were very quick to write him off, think he'll do a great job given a start.
Chez Posted 23 March, 2011 Posted 23 March, 2011 Forte is a striker and Lallana and Chamberlain play in midfield. It's N'Guessen that has to step up to the plate and probably Gully at RM.
Appy Posted 23 March, 2011 Posted 23 March, 2011 Looked good last night when he came on. Even managed to hold it up well, being outpaced by Christian Dailly could be seen as a worry.
SuperMikey Posted 23 March, 2011 Posted 23 March, 2011 Looked a lot better last night, hadn't been too impressed with him before now but he definitely caused them some problems when he came on yesterday. He was much more comfortable receiving the ball in the middle of the park though, so whether he'd be any good on the wing or not is up in the air at the moment. Would work well in a 4-3-3 like below: ----------------------DAVIS---------------------- BUTTERFIELD----FONTE----JAIDI----------HARDING -----------GULY----CHAPLOW----HAMMOND------- ----------FORTE----BARNARD----LAMBERT--------

"he's got unbelievable pace and strength, he gets that ball and he runs with it in behind and he scores goals, In training some of the stuff that he does- he's unplayable" lol. That could be read two ways!! Actually I think he has a great future with us but I do recall NA saying that he needed some work but he believed he would be a better player for the training set up we have here. It is an opportunity for him IF Oxo and Adam are out for MK Dons but don't write him off if he does not deliver immediately.

A bit like a cross between Samson with short hair and Usain Bolt.

Turkish Posted 23 March, 2011 Author Posted 23 March, 2011 To motivate him for his big chance against MK Dons next week i think we should use the legendary Martine Mcutcheon for his inspiration and have this playing when he takes to the pitch, nobody says it better IMO.[video=youtube;jG16jv-itYw]
the saint in winchester Posted 24 March, 2011 Posted 24 March, 2011 I have to say, Turkish, every one of your comments in this thread has made me laugh. Yeah, let's give Jonno Quick a run in the side. This is his time to shine.

SFC Forever Posted 24 March, 2011 Posted 24 March, 2011 Forte is a wingman who was thrust into the centre due to Sc*nthorpes shortages. He could end up being our wingman for a year or two if we end up letting A O-C go and I will wait to see him play a few times before making any conclusions as to whether he will be any good for us.

He's played on the left every time I've seen him for Saints so far, so Lallana would have to swap sides...

I think it's up to Lallana and Jonno Quick to have the Ice Man/Maverick Top Gun conversation as to who is whos wing man dont you? Edited 24 March, 2011 by Turkish
The9 Posted 24 March, 2011 Posted 24 March, 2011 I think it's up to Lallana and Jonno Quick to have the Ice Man/Maverick Top Gun conversation as to who is whos wing man dont you? I would assume it would go "I'm Adam Lallana" "But are you Jonno Quick?" "Fair point".
Matthew Le God Posted 24 March, 2011 Posted 24 March, 2011 Jonathan Forte played 24 Championship games for S****horpe between August 2010 and January 2011 (mostly as a striker, not a winger). He was not a "reject" or "reserve" for S****horpe as many Saints fans seem to think.

Nutwood2 Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 Well you were right! Can you give me tonights lottery numbers please?
doggface Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 Great thread Turkish what timing You must have a massive lob-on
Deppo Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 Great thread Turkish what timing You must have a massive lob-on Timing? His moment came a full 10 days later, after Lallana and Chambo got themselves fit (even though Chambo is still being rested).
alpine_saint Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 Superb timing for him to step up. With his confidence boost and new-found hunger to prove himself, I can see him giving us the momentum we need to get over the finish line in 2nd place.
saints-cris Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 His 2 magic minutes today could be absoloutely priceless

Looks like your spare rib is safe for the time being - unless you are hung like a particulary well hung donkey .... sorry what's that you say ..... oh .... ok ....... Ladies (and gheyers form an orderly queue please!!
ericofarabia Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 Timing? His moment came a full 10 days later, after Lallana and Chambo got themselves fit (even though Chambo is still being rested). Tantric sex god FFS

Nexstar Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 After the Charlton game I said I thought he was a decent signing. Pacey with attacking intent. Maybe our fans won't be such mongs with future signings?
the saint in winchester Posted 2 April, 2011 Posted 2 April, 2011 I recalled this thread on here when the second goal went in .. FACT .... cometh the hour, cometh the man. Didn't need to use his Johnno Quick pace, just be in the right place at the right time.
