What restrictions/laws should I be aware of? I have received a request for some cabbage seeds (they are very expensive over there apparently) but how much trouble could I get in by taking some?

You need a plant passport, I kid you not!

I think you can carry Ganja seeds wherever you like, just cant germinate them.

Exactly. You can pretty much transport whatever seeds you want, and in fact that seeds can even be injected with illegal pesticides, but as long as its not germinated its ok. Mark Thomas did a whole show in it a few years ago.

I've taken seeds each way to and from UK/Italy with no problems and even sent some through the post. Where are you sending them out of interest as I've found seeds here generally to be a lot cheaper. The EU as a unified market still has some interesting differences.

There are no restrictions on sending plant products within the EU as they are all subject to the same phytosanitary regulations.

I've germinated my seed more or less every time I've been abroad in my adult life.
