I think the style of football that Napkins is getting us to play would really benefit from a midfielder who can pass the ball to a team mate.
Smirking_Saint Posted 22 March, 2011 Posted 22 March, 2011 Indeed, and as impressive (within reason) that Hammond has been so far I still don't believe he is good enough for what Adkins is trying to do with us at the moment. IMO he is too slow and technically is just not strong enough.

Came in and was great, tailed off, got injured, came back against scum and was great, tailed off again, got injured and for most of this year has been getting better and better. I think he and Morgan could become an excellent midfield pairing but don't think that anyone has worked out how to make them really click yet.

Came in and was great, tailed off, got injured, came back against scum and was great, tailed off again, got injured and for most of this year has been getting better and better. I think he and Morgan could become an excellent midfield pairing but don't think that anyone has worked out how to make them really click yet. I have always thought we would benefit a lot more from a different CM to Hammond, i suppose he does a job for now, and i cannot fault his effort and heart, I do however believe that if we were to be promoted we would definately need a new CM next year to play alongside Morgan. That said, I am more than happy with Chappers in the side.
