Thedelldays Posted 19 March, 2011 Posted 19 March, 2011 Come on the dons... I have always liked the dons...a model club
Smirking_Saint Posted 19 March, 2011 Posted 19 March, 2011 I f*cking hate MK Dons, and quite like the Posh, unfortunately we need the Dons to win.
bender Posted 19 March, 2011 Posted 19 March, 2011 draw would be fine. Then we go 2nd on Tuesday if we win.
Dalek2003 Posted 19 March, 2011 Posted 19 March, 2011 I f*cking hate MK Dons, and quite like the Posh, unfortunately we need the Dons to win. Well, you don't have to like either to want the Dons to win !
saint_jas Posted 19 March, 2011 Posted 19 March, 2011 Nah, mk dons for the win. Posh as are more of a threat, more games in hand over the Dons anyway.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 19 March, 2011 Posted 19 March, 2011 Nah, mk dons for the win. Posh as are more of a threat, more games in hand over the Dons anyway. ok i agree
Glasgow_Saint Posted 19 March, 2011 Posted 19 March, 2011 anyone fancy 0-0? 62 games since a no score draw for posh!
Saint Samuel Posted 19 March, 2011 Posted 19 March, 2011 This must be the first time I've ever wanted MK Dons to win, always possible, really wasn't expecting Swindon to hold Huddersfield today.
dune Posted 19 March, 2011 Author Posted 19 March, 2011 This must be the first time I've ever wanted MK Dons to win, always possible, really wasn't expecting Swindon to hold Huddersfield today. Huddersfield aren't that good imo. They have scraped quite a few wins by a single goal and they let slip a two goal lead against 10 man Orient the other week. I can see them dropping more points and don't see them as being much of a threat. Of course we've got to do the business but I think 2nd place is between us and Peterborough.

Miltonaggro Posted 19 March, 2011 Posted 19 March, 2011 Dons to win and Mackerel-Smyth to Norwich on Tuesday morning as we go second later the same day...
Appy Posted 19 March, 2011 Posted 19 March, 2011 Dons to win and Mackerel-Smyth to Norwich on Tuesday morning as we go second later the same day... Sounds Beautiful.
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 20 March, 2011 Posted 20 March, 2011 5-0 to the Posh I reckon. They truly are an unstoppable force right now. Which is why we can't afford any more slip ups.
alehouseboys Posted 20 March, 2011 Posted 20 March, 2011 Take a brave man to bet against Posh right now...but...this is the 'local derby' in the area this season so will have a bit of an extra edge for both sides. MK Dons win and it really sets it up nicely for us on Tuesday knowing if we go to the Valley and win we go second. The promotion run-in back in 1978 was fantastic, taking 10k+ on the road for the last few aways and the buzz building each game. And while we won't get the opportunity to take so many this time round our remaining trips now are gonna be special.
NickG Posted 20 March, 2011 Posted 20 March, 2011 draw not disaster with our games in hand -would mean a victory at Charlton would put us a point ahead of them, better goal difference and still game in hand

Fan The Flames Posted 20 March, 2011 Posted 20 March, 2011 You got to want a draw, two points distributed amongst those around us instead of three.

Frank's cousin Posted 20 March, 2011 Posted 20 March, 2011 Just want to see that smug **nt Ferguson Jr miserable... what is it about that gene line that makes it so easy to hate them?
Appy Posted 20 March, 2011 Posted 20 March, 2011 Just want to see that smug **nt Ferguson Jr miserable... what is it about that gene line that makes it so easy to hate them? He really is an arrogant pr1ck, the only scenario i would want in the playoffs would be chaplow scoring a winner against them and celebrating right in his face.
Jonnyboy Posted 20 March, 2011 Posted 20 March, 2011 Id bite your hand off if you offered me a draw now.

Ted McDougal & David Peach scored. Fantastic memory.
dune Posted 21 March, 2011 Author Posted 21 March, 2011 “The rivalry has evolved since we moved to MK. Both clubs have had similar fates over the last few years so that has added to it. “It’s a local rivalry, but in playing terms we have been close in the league, so it will be great to beat them. “And of course we know the fans love to beat Peterborough more than anyone else.” Dons manager Karl Robinson is usually the man found fanning the flames ahead of matches against Posh, but he’s adopted a more low key approach this time around. Robinson said: “I thought we played well at Peterborough earlier in the season and were unlucky to lose, but they were a different team then. “But so are we. We have improved a lot since so we’re hopeful we can get a result tonight. “The rivalry is very healthy, it’s brilliant - I love it. “I’ve been brought up on derbies, and I love them. “There is so much passion from the fans on both sides.” MK Dons mean nothing to Peterborough fans as far as i'm aware (they didn't exist when I used to go to the odd game). Peterboroughs derby game is Cambridge Utd, with Northampton Town after that. That said this could fire up Franchise as the non club try to get an identity.
Toadhall Saint Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 Peterborough win :-( Yep - can't really see anything else than a win for Posh - still we can live in hope as football is a funny ol' game (allegedly).

doddisalegend Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 Dons win in a tatsy derby (of sorts ) Posh plyers get a bit slap happy and Boyd and CMS both get sent off with straight reds and a three match ban. Followed by us routing Charlton 6-0 tommorrow. Jobs a good'un.

Bensfcno1 Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 How big does that game away at Peterborogh seem now! We could regret throwing away 2 goal lead x2 in that game come the end of the season!
Colinjb Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 How big does that game away at Peterborogh seem now! We could regret throwing away 2 goal lead x2 in that game come the end of the season! They could say similar themselves. Both teams led. That game really was a rollercoaster.
Gemmel Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 They could say similar themselves. Both teams led. That game really was a rollercoaster. No they didn't - We let a two goal lead slip twice
Colinjb Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 No they didn't - We let a two goal lead slip twice Wow, I really was drunk that day. Fair enough!
Gemmel Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 Wow, I really was drunk that day. Fair enough! Lol....I was p155ed off, but I wasn't p155ed
Lighthouse Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 I can't see how anyone would want a draw over a Dons win. Posh are a waaaaaay bigger threat to second place than Dons are. Posh are 4 points ahead with a game in hand, much better GD and are playing superbly. I hope Dons trash them and it has a similar effect to Bompey's defeat at Exeter.
jawillwill Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 Anyone know what the attendance is likely to be? I want to go but don't want to make the journey if it's a full house.
dune Posted 21 March, 2011 Author Posted 21 March, 2011 Wow, I really was drunk that day. Fair enough! ditto, and even when sober it's difficult to see much of a game from a terrace behind the goal at London Road. The old Glebe Rd terrace used to give a cracking view though (where the new family stand is).
Appy Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 Anyone know what the attendance is likely to be? I want to go but don't want to make the journey if it's a full house. Along with passion, i don't think MK Dons know what a sell out is, apart from when they came to SMS in the JPT.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 (edited) Along with passion, i don't think MK Dons know what a sell out is, apart from when they came to SMS in the JPT. They proved what a mickey mouse joke of a club they are. 1-0 down from the first leg, trip to wembley at stake, they claimed just under 300 of the 32,000 who attended. Vermin shítpit of a club. Edit: I really should add that I want MK Franchise Plastic Shítholes to win tonight. As well as CMS, Boyd, Joe Lewis and that c*nty midfielder to all get straight reds and a 3 match ban. It won't happen though, and P'boro will win. Again. Edited 21 March, 2011 by saintscottofthenortham
dune Posted 21 March, 2011 Author Posted 21 March, 2011 Listening on Saintsplayer on BBC Cambridgeshire.
dune Posted 21 March, 2011 Author Posted 21 March, 2011 Posh players wearing black arm bands in respect of a fan who drowned in the Nene + a minutes silence. Did Saints even bother for Dean Richards?
trousers Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 Posh players wearing black arm bands in respect of a fan who drowned in the Nene + a minutes silence. Did Saints even bother for Dean Richards? With all due respect to him, and without knowing the background, armbands and a minute silence for a fan sounds a bit OTT to me
Leslie Charteris Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 Both teams in a bit of form at the moment, I can't bear the thought of the Fake Team doing well and Peterboghorror are the biggest rivals for 2nd spot, IMHO, so 0-0 against the odds would do nicely.
dune Posted 21 March, 2011 Author Posted 21 March, 2011 Franchise commentary is marginally better imo.
trousers Posted 21 March, 2011 Posted 21 March, 2011 Is that ex-Pompey QPR loanee playing up front for MK Dons?
