Jeff Le Taxi Posted 17 March, 2011 Share Posted 17 March, 2011 Anyone got one? got mine for Christmas but only just got round to using it, read a few free books and bought Mr Nice the Howard Marks drug smuggling book (great read btw). Any recommendations from the free section? or cheaper paid section?

ecuk268 Posted 17 March, 2011 Share Posted 17 March, 2011 If I buy a book in a bookshop, I can pass it on when I've finished it. You can't do this with a Kindle. Has anyone come up with a crack yet?
skintsaint Posted 17 March, 2011 Share Posted 17 March, 2011 I got my missus the Sony version...she loves it with the pink case and all that. I dont read books, just wait for the film so can't comment on usefulness.

I guess you are not tied to Amazon books that way, which is good, but do you miss out on any amazon offers? Any drawbacks on not Kindling it? Doctoroncall Posted 17 March, 2011 Share Posted 17 March, 2011 (edited) I guess you are not tied to Amazon books that way, which is good, but do you miss out on any amazon offers? Any drawbacks on not Kindling it? Buying books are more expensive, around 10-15% more. Edited 17 March, 2011 by Doctoroncall
TopGun Posted 17 March, 2011 Share Posted 17 March, 2011 Lots of people like the feel of a proper book and I'm sure the Kindle and other similar e-readers won't kill the publishing industry. But they're great for holidays etc.
