jam Posted 4 April, 2011 Posted 4 April, 2011 Didn't Uri Geller have a hand in our Ted statue Mk1 Yes, he did the arm.
Greenridge Posted 4 April, 2011 Posted 4 April, 2011 Apparently originally commissioned to go in Harrods before he sold it off so he put two and two together and came up with FLC lol!
Saint Samuel Posted 4 April, 2011 Posted 4 April, 2011 The Ted Bates statue got a brief mention today in I (that fairly new newspaper published by the Independent) on a fact panel on most embarrassing statues, it was given a cringe rating of 4/5. I would still rather have the first Bates statue outside St Marys instead of Michael Jackson though.

Hatch Posted 4 April, 2011 Posted 4 April, 2011 But our Ted Mk 1 wasn't Ted though. It could have been anyone, at least you know the MJ statue is MJ.

buctootim Posted 27 February, 2014 Posted 27 February, 2014 As piece of art I guess its okay but as a statue? Even the face looks nothing like Steve Jobs.
red&white56 Posted 27 February, 2014 Posted 27 February, 2014 Could we not have both statues of Ted outside St.Marys. The first one in a discrete corner so we can go and have a laugh every now and again?
