swannymere Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Some complete and utter **** has dumped around 30 motorcycle tyres of varying types from C90 to Superbike and including at least one white-wall at 5-10 metre intervals along a country lane close to where i live (about 1/2 mile from the A32 between Droxford and Wickham). What makes it worse is the fact it's somebody from the motorcycling community be it trader or owner who has a) decided to avoid the disposal charge or b) chosen to not care what happens to them once he's paid a third party to dispose of them. It really ****es me off, why not dump them on some industrial estate if you're that much of a ****er, i hope the law catches up with whomever is responsible and throws the book at them, personally i'd be quite happy to take a chainsaw to them.
Gemmel Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 They are just marking up the pot holes ready for workmen to fill them in
Redondo Saint Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 OUt of interest how much is the disposal cost?
mack rill Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Are they Cluttering up the entrance to your site swanney,
swannymere Posted 15 March, 2011 Author Posted 15 March, 2011 Are they Cluttering up the entrance to your site swanney, Very droll, at least i wouldn't have to worry about the wheels on my house getting stuck.
hamster Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Until the powers that bestart rewardingrecyclers it will not be done across the board I remember 2p for every empty lemonade bottle and us kids would fight each other for them. As it is now noone really gives a fiddlers fart until it's dumped on our doorstep or we want a little superiority fix. Were all as bad as each other basically and what we don't see we don't moan about.....landfill, deep sea dumping for example.
swannymere Posted 15 March, 2011 Author Posted 15 March, 2011 That's bollock's, the person who sells/changes the tyres knows they have to pay to dispose of them but instead of calculating this into the cost of the product or services decides to keep the difference and dump them.
hamster Posted 16 March, 2011 Posted 16 March, 2011 I am not disagreeing with anyone about the current system is fundamentally flawed. The only properly way to run a societies waste management system is for the country to be in sole charge. Its all of ours problem. Let's start talking and coming up with new ideas Always do what you've always done; always get what you always get.
Junction 9 Posted 16 March, 2011 Posted 16 March, 2011 Just set fire to them if you're that bothered about them.
