Thedelldays Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 posh are going to get 2nd spot...fergie jnr has sorted them right out
Appy Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Our GD advantage is evaporating by the game............ It would do if they play and we don't. Idiot.
the colonel Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Borough goal difference catching up on ours very quickly. only 7 now was nearly 20 a few games ago.
jamesfp1 Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 No, no they won't They will at this rate. They wont if the stop scoring.
Saint_lambden Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Luckily it's in our hands , because relying on them losing would be like relying on Michael Jackson to complete his O2 tour.
NickG Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Our GD advantage is evaporating by the game............ 7 better as it stands
alpine_saint Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 It would do if they play and we don't. Idiot. We won by 2 goals on Saturday and they won by 6. Idiot
alpine_saint Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 7 better as it stands Thankyou. I can subtract 25 from 32 as well...
sfc4prem Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 My bet on P'boro to get 1st still going strong I see. Playoffs for us maybe? I hope not.
bender Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Posh have MK Dons away on Monday who are a millions times better than crap Sheff Wed. If they don't win and we beat Sheff Wed on Sat then beat Charlton on Tuesday, then were above them with a game in hand.
NickG Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 4 points behind - 2 games in hand and better goal difference in our favour - no need to give up on 2nd just yet!
Appy Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 We played Bournemouth away. They played Carlisle at home. But yes the fact that their defence seems sorted really worries me.
Jack Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 I think we'll just about be ok if we win by 2 every game
NickG Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Thankyou. I can subtract 25 from 32 as well... wasn't sure.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 After all teams seeming to throw away points left and right all season we now have a number of teams on hot form in Posh, Brighton, MK Dons and Orient We need to maintain a long winning streak to keep our current mathematical advantage for 2nd place. We have not managed to do that all season so now is a good time to change that!
alpine_saint Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 wasn't sure. You really are a smug arrogant little ar*e sometimes.
dune Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 FFS, other results aren't going our way. ADKINS OUT.
beatlesaint Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Posh have MK Dons away on Monday who are a millions times better than crap Sheff Wed. If they don't win and we beat Sheff Wed on Sat then beat Charlton on Tuesday, then were above them with a game in hand. They still have to go to Huddersfield and Orient too....as well as entertain Bournemouth.
Appy Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 You really are a smug arrogant little ar*e sometimes. It must be horrible to be 1 of those.
doddisalegend Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Peterborough will tonk Sheff Wed. I think Brentford and Huddersfield will draw. 25K at Hillsborough? LOL Average gate at wednesday this season 18,364 (saints is 21,615) I see posh are giving the owls a tonking. Imagaine if posh had sorted their defence out earlier in the season they'd probably be promoted already they can't stop ****ing scoring the ******s they've hit form and just the wrong time for us.
Appy Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 They still have to go to Huddersfield and Orient too....as well as entertain Bournemouth. We have Orient and Brighton away. I can see a slip of from elsewhere for both sides.
NickG Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 You really are a smug arrogant little ar*e sometimes. smug –adjective, smug·ger, smug·gest. 1. contentedly confident of one's ability, superiority, or correctness; complacent. when discussing football / saints with you.. yes for good reason. Generally quite a humble bloke. Sure I remember someone on here claiming to be better than Southampton based fans as they managed to get a job abroad (chalet maid?)

Our destiny is still in our hands. Just. If we keep winning, it is scheiß egal if they put 20 past every team between now and the end of the season.
dune Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Sure I remember someone on here claiming to be better than Southampton based fans as they managed to get a job abroad (chalet maid?) Thanks a lot for forming that image in my head.

We need to find form too, and hit him even harder!

You dont have a f**king clue about football, hence your predilection for irrelevant statistics.
dune Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 You dont have a f**king clue about football, hence your predilection for irrelevant statistics. You tell him.
Appy Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 I don't like Peterborough winning. But Sheff Wed's demise is hilarious. Let's hope it continues on Saturday.
beatlesaint Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 You dont have a f**king clue about football, hence your predilection for irrelevant statistics. ahem
doddisalegend Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Posh have MK Dons away on Monday who are a millions times better than crap Sheff Wed. If they don't win and we beat Sheff Wed on Sat then beat Charlton on Tuesday, then were above them with a game in hand. Lots of ifs there. Another if is posh go on a scorching winning streak (not unlikely the way there now playing) and we lose a couple of games (which could happen)....................
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 While we'd all like to think Posh won't sustain the form they've recently had, I'm not getting worried about them tonking Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 at HT. I'd obviously prefer it if they didn't, but since the start of February they have conceded on average twice in every game, including shipping four at home recently against Plymouth. Peterborough winning, in whatever manner, is not a season breaker tonight. And in fact as I mentioned before it bodes well for Saints at the weekend.

Um Bongo Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Peterborough's games in April: Bournemouth Dagenham & R Huddersfield Plymouth Leyton Orient Yeovil Town Rochdale Our games in April. MK Dons Charlton Leyton Orient Rochdale Bristol Rovers Brighton Hartlepool Brentford + Plymouth at some point. I fancy ours rather then theirs.
beatlesaint Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Who rattled your cage ? ooh touchy aren't we ??

They have the points in the bag, and are scoring for fun. They are in the driving seat.
doddisalegend Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 I don't like Peterborough winning. But Sheff Wed's demise is hilarious. Let's hope it continues on Saturday. Kind of reminds you of another big team in league 1 from down south................ I'm sure next season they'll be heading back up at least they'll likely have sheff utd to keep'em company and give them some derby games.
dune Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 ooh touchy aren't we ?? I'd never noticed this agressive streak before.
niceandfriendly Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 You dont have a f**king clue about football, hence your predilection for irrelevant statistics. You two really must get a room. Orient are winning, they're on fire.

SimonC Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Bmth here remember we beat Posh 5-1 earlier in the season - they are going to be out to batter us - and they probably will. I can really see us missing the play offs now too. Which is us all the way, unfortunately!!
NickG Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 You tell him. been told! funiest forum moment was when found out last week he doesn't even listen to games! Anyway, moving on, pure thing
LVSaint Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Peterborough's games in April: Bournemouth Dagenham & R Huddersfield Plymouth Leyton Orient Yeovil Town Rochdale Our games in April. MK Dons Charlton Leyton Orient Rochdale Bristol Rovers Brighton Hartlepool Brentford + Plymouth at some point. I fancy ours rather then theirs. I don't. That';s a lot of games to play - 2 per week. We'd have to better their points total by 4.
Dazza82 Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Peterborough's games in April: Bournemouth Win Dagenham & R Win Huddersfield Draw Plymouth Win Leyton Orient Draw Yeovil Town Win Rochdale Win Our games in April. MK Dons Win Charlton Win Leyton Orient Draw Rochdale Win Bristol Rovers Win Brighton Draw Hartlepool Win Brentford Win + Plymouth at some point. I fancy ours rather then theirs. 17 points for Posh 20 points for us without Plymouth
beatlesaint Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 I'd never noticed this agressive streak before. think it might have been the chalet maid comment
doddisalegend Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 You two really must get a room. Orient are winning, they're on fire. Still think it will be to much for them to many games in hand, all those extra games are going to catch up with them I reckon.
doddisalegend Posted 15 March, 2011 Posted 15 March, 2011 Us? We were never doing as badly as them. Didn't we spend two months rooted to the foot of league 1 last season? I don't think wednesday have done that. In both cases it's given fans of other clubs plenty of laughs at our expense.
