Crowds are up on average, though we're not exactly comparing like for like as there are still a lot of midweek matches which may pull that average down (and there are also potentially more "critical" games to push it up further.

Season ----Club-------------High-- High Opponent---------- Low -------Low Opponent---- Average

This season Southampton 26289 Bournemouth(02/10/10)---- 17857 Colchester(18/09/10)---- 21538

Last season Southampton 30890 Exeter City(26/12/09) ------16402 Wycombe(01/12/09)----- 20982

so income is up. Spending, well who knows, but if we are making enquiries for Posh strikers there must be a million in the pot at least.

He's a horrible narky little tit, I'd hate him to play for us almost as much as I hate him playing for them.

I despise the fella, but as I've already posted on here I believe it is essential to get promoted this year to prevent one or two leaving so needs must IMO.

I'd rather we signed someone else, assuming there is anyone.

Actually I'm pretty sure that compared to this time last season it's significantly down, because we've played far fewer matches overall to this point, and haven't had the significant Cup ticket sales either.

It will depend on how we get on this evening I expect, no bookings,no injuries=nothing happening. The Plymouth game being put back changed everything.

Fair point, no-one seems to have made a big deal out of the effect that had of reducing our chances of incurring a 10-yellows suspension either.

Season, will be subject to the following punishments: -

(vii) A Player who has already been subject to disciplinary action as a result of receiving

five, ten and 15 cautions, and who goes on to receive 20 cautions in FTCM in the

same Season, shall be required to attend a meeting of a Regulatory Commission,

within seven days of the date of the last caution. The Members of a Regulatory

Commission will have the power to deal with the Player in such manner as they

deem fit. The same procedure will apply for every further five cautions received by

that Player.

(viii) Any period of suspension arising from cautions will commence forthwith. The

suspension will cover all approved First Team matches until such time as his Club’s

First Team has completed the number of matches appropriate to the punishment

in approved Competitions during the period covered by its opening league match

and ending with the final match in which the Club is playing in an approved

domestic Competition

Second Sunday in April is the 10th, the day after the Leyton Orient match (on Sat 9th). We have 4 matches before that, and the two matches following it are Rochdale A and Bristol Rovers H, but of course it could also happen before then.

Chaplow currently has 7 yellows. http://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=34877

Schneiderlin has 6 inc one in Carling Cup, but unlikely to play before then to add to the total.

Hammond has 7 inc one in Carling Cup : http://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=23702

Hopefully none of them will get three more yellows in the 4 matches before the Rochdale match... but the Plymouth game being moved back has certainly helped there.

FWIW Peterboro have Tomlin on 6 (saw that last night) and a red card which isn't relevant.

Grant McCann has EIGHT yellows, but hasn't had one for 10 matches !!!

Ryan Bennett is on 5.

Zakuani has 4.

They also have 4 matches before April 10th, including Bournemouth and Huddersfield away, which could be handy for a few bookings...

Did Hammond not get booked in both of our Carling Cup games??? He's on 8 bookings.

He was suspended for 1 match Oldham (H) and he's had 3 bookings since.

I've only gone on what Soccerbase has got, and they don't have him down as being booked v Bolton, but I can believe it's wrong... he didn't play against Oldham, which was the match after Huddersfield, so all that ties up. I'll find a link somewhere...

Not good if true though.

According to Saints' OS the three bookings v Bolton were Harding, Lallana and Schneiderlin, not Hammond.

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10280~54539,00.html

I'll now have a look to see if there's anything else stating that he was suspended v Oldham rather than injured...

Definitely says missed the Oldham match due to suspension here : http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10280~51663,00.html

and that he got a 5th yellow here : http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10280~51601,00.html

I shall now hunt down the rogue booking...

Hm. Soccerbase has Hammond booked in :

Bournemouth CCup

Swindon A Lge

Sheff Wed A Lge

Huddersfield A Lge.

The match report for Saints v Swindon in JPT http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10280~54553,00.html

shows Saints getting 2 bookings and a red, but only mentions Fonte being booked and Barnard being shown yellow/red accidentally - so given that you thought the other booking was in the Cup, I'm assuming there was a second yellow for Hammond in the JPT match, because the tallies and reports from then until Huddersfield A all add up. It would also make sense on Soccerbase, because they're showing the yellow/red combination for Barnard on their page, when actually it should probably be Hammond.

I'm still going to try and confirm it somehow though, you'd have to doubt the FA would make Hammond serve a suspension if he wasn't suspended, and Saints definitely thought he was...

Oh the bookings on that Soccerbase site are all wrong. He wasn't booked against Walsall the other week although it was widely reported that he was, still been booked 3 times since his suspension though. I looked it all up the other day but can't remember the precise details now.

Here you go, stange place to find it though

That is quite a bonkers place to find it.

I was still looking into the JPT "booking", not being assisted by the fact that Swindon's website claims Barnard was booked then sent off in the fracas, which is what I thought at the time, but isn't the case officially. http://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10341~54553,00.html

Like I said earlier though, according to Saints' OS the three bookings v Bolton were Harding, Lallana and Schneiderlin, not Hammond.

And Saints OS and Soccerbase BOTH have N'Guessan down for the only booking against Exeter as listed against Hammond's name on the Yeovil site.

So it still doesn't tally with the Saints OS...

Oh well, I'll go with him being suspended for 5 bookings somehow, and now on 8, and we'll just have to hope he can go the next 4 matches without picking up another 2 yellows.

After the injuries to Adam and Alex tonight, it just highlighted for me that we could do with some back up especially in midfield! We simply have to go up in second place and we need to make sure it happens! Hope NA is in the market today!!

Oldham supporting colleague has just asked if I can confirm the rumour that we are signing Dale Stephens. Any ideas ?

This rumour is all over their forums from an oldham fan who is ''ITK''

They need to raise cash for the close season apparently.

He was linked with some Prem teams in January.

I think you may be thinking of Dale Jennings at Tranmere - the young 19 year old kid, top prospect.

Wigan have joined the chase for Carlisle's Ivory Coast striker Francois Zoko, who has a £100,000 buy-out clause and is being watched by a number of Championship and Spanish clubs.

This comes from BBC rumours, why can't we be in for a player like this??
