Where is Alpine this evening?

Tbh alpine has been pretty measured with his recent match responses. Don't have a pop at the bloke without reading the thread. Being a bit knee jerk on the gobern thread if you feel you can't get throught the evening without an argument.

Im here and having been at the game today can offer the following:

Quite impressed with your support, you sang a fair bit. The song where you all lean to the left and then to the right was embarrassing for you all....you looked like a load of numpties to be honest. I would bin that asap.

Tight game, impressed with Adkins tactics. I always rated him! You pushed up in the second half and young Oxlade-chamberlain and Lallana kept harrying us and were a constant headache.

The penalty incident will be argued over from our lot but I cant help but think that the ref felt he owed you something from his decision for our goal. His decision was correct but after the lino stuck his flag up he could have boshed it. Credit to him for getting it right and the view on the penalty may be clearer later on.

Second goal was scrappy but hey ho it was a goal and it took the wind out of our sails. Third was a cracker.

No complaints from me. We lack strength in depth- you clearly dont.

Ive seen all three games and you are getting promoted so enjoy. I will follow your progress with a bit more interest from now on, not to wish you to fail of course but to see what sort of investment you get on the playing side if you go up.

Thats it from me....I appreciate Ive got under the skin of a few of your posters but bloody hell its footie isnt. :)

best of luck for the season

Blimey Ossie! You alright? Really enjoyed the entire game, you gave a much better account of yourselves than at SMS.you support however is seriously lacking. Very disappointed with the lack of atmosphere on your part and how we were just signing to you, rather than with you which is the usual away from home. No banter whatsoever.

Great result at a very difficult place to go to. Found the insults coming from the Pavilion on the escort out absolutely hilarious.

It's what football is all about...fantastic result for us and I'm firmly on the Adkin's bus too!

If Pardew was still in the building we would have lost today...

I think 2nd place is not beyond us - but I think teams in the play-offs will want to avoid Posh.

Good luck for the rest of the season!

Good post ossie1 and thanks for being dignified in defeat. Its a shame that a few of your fans want to have this so called rivalry with Saints, because a lot of Saints fans always used to to have a soft spot for Bournemouth.

I am feeling fantastic tonight after that result and hopefully we can keep our winning ways until we reach second place, although i think Posh may be a threat to us.

Anyway im off to enjoy a bottle of scotch and watch the Football League show and see our three seconds of fame.

Good luck for the rest of the season ossie1,because i would love it if all three south coast teams were promoted.

Notes from today:

1. The pitch, whilst looking OK, played terribly. Dribbling was very difficult, bit like playing on a molehill ravaged field. No wonder they hoof a lot.

2. Referee gave them way too much (our lot were being pulled all over the place...their goal was crazy).

3. Our fans were LOUD.

4. Jaidi is a nutter...but what a goal celebration!

5. Kelvin did well.

6. Good, solid victory.

7. Their ballboy giving us some wrist exercise and then getting a bollocking was very funny :D

We'll take it! We'll take it!

Seems that playing sh*t is the way to win matches!

Must admit even ManUre win by playing rubbish every week even when their opponents play world-class pass/keep ball as Arsenal did today, so if it's good enough for them it is probably OK for us but whatever happened to the beautiful game Nige?

Vital win today the Posh are on a great run & have stopped conceding goals which is worrying. But if we keep winning then its in our hands. WIFM

In their next 8 games, they have got to play 3 of the current top 6 (MK Dons and Huddersfield away, Bompey at home) and the form team, Leyton Orient, away. We play 2 of the current 6 (MK Dons home, Brighton away) plus Leyton away and Charlton twice, who are slipping off the pace quite nicely. I think they will struggle to match our points total over that period.

You werent sh_t. From the kick off you came at us. It was a fast / frantic game and you soaked things up, hell we were all over you like flies in the first half in an attempt to close you down so any attempt at the beautiful game from you was up sh*t creek......you settled in the second half, it wasnt great but it did the job.

Having spent more time in this Division than any other team i believe, we have seen the likes of Man City, Fulham, Leeds, Sheff Utd / Wednesday (and Im going back to the 80's)

None of them got out of this godforsaken league by playing the beautiful game....(obviously missed Norwich / Leeds last season ) the one thing that they all had in common and that was a big strong centre half and a defence to match.

Lets be honest you dont really care how you get out. What i would say is that I saw you play Leeds last season and shoot me down but the team that beat Leeds were on a different planet than the team you put out today. The quality seems to have gone with Pardew but if Adkins can get you up do you really care?

The last four games their goal difference is 15 for 0 against. As much as I am no fan of Darren Ferguson,he has definately got them in a decent position. The fact they score goals for fun at this level, makes them very dangerous. I hope I am proved wrong.

For the record I was told at the Swindon game that Mackhail -Smith was one of the players we had a substantial bid in for. We supposedly had a 1.2 million bid on the table

and they wanted 2 million. I hope the fact we did not sign him, does not come back to haunt us,and the throwing away of the two 2 goal leads up there, hopefully will not either.

nope

I don't particularly like his style (he probably sees me as one of the happy clappies), however the last three I have read have been fine and I'm not in the habit of digging at someone just for the sake of it. Still I'm not on here as much as I used to be due to the narkiness so I may have missed something.

Not a fecking bit.

Arsenal have won feck all for years even though they are the best footballing team in England.

Unlike Bompey we aren't in this league to play football any more, we are in this league to get the fook out of it. Many on here have spent the last week telling us we are playing badly and we won't make it. Well, you know what? 9 points in the bag 8 for and 1 against. Hell I'll take playing badly like that for the rest of this season thank you very much.

Oh and you know the really funny thing?

We beat 3-1 you playing badly and you tried everything you could, That's gotta hurt,

and the GOOD news? We can get better

I was at both games mate...were you? If you cant see exactly what Im saying in my post stick your head back in the sand. I was on here when some of your posters were threatening to kill themselves when Adkins was appointed. I told you i rated the bloke and I still do.

Fair play to you Ossie for being dignified and straight up in defeat. Best of luck for the rest of the season and lets hope we are both playing in the next league up, next season.

As for Pardew v Adkins. We were utterly brilliant under Pards at times, when all was going in our favour it was fantastic.... but we were too soft and predictable.

Under Adkins we are far more resilient but when we shine it is not quite as brightly.

Nope appreciated your input to the reaction thread.

And agreed I don't give a sh1t how we play at the moment, we can save Champagne football for when (insh'allah) we are guaranteed 2nd place

My point being I saw the CC game at SMS where you huffed and puffed and listened today. Bmuff have done very well this season playing the right kind of football to get out this league. I for one hope you get out of it as well. I was one of the old nutters who came down to watch football when Saints were away before you decided to try and have arguments with us

But the funny thing is we can play better, you tried your best and it hurt.

But the truth is that if you had got rid of your "having a few issues in the construction business" owner when you had a chance you might just have been watching a more expensive squad yourselves this season.

Never mind, he still told the Echo survival is your priority

Excellent Result. I still think Boro and Brighton will start losing games qiuicly, while we've gone from 'either play brilliantly and win by 4 or five, then lose to **** teams' to 'Win ugly if you have to'

I'll take the latter all the live long day.....

The run was long but you ran it, Lambert

If there's a shot to take then you slam it, Lambert

If there's a free kick to take then you man it, Lambert

Now I've one thing to say and that's

Dammit, Lambert, We love you...

I'd like to thank all those sat front rows near us for showing some consideration and restraint in amongst the mental celebrations.

The lad I sat with had an absolute ball. In spite of people jumping over seats and dancing like loons the group I went with really felt part of it all and were still smiling ear to ear Shen I dropped them home.

One and only negative was running out of programmer and "because your a Cat C club" the steward wouldn't let back out to get some.

Cornish pasty very good which was a lus as that's all I ate all day washed down by horrible chilled (FFS) pretend beer (j Smiths).

Gratitude also due to cheery stewards and police.

Still buzzin so gonna crack open a Guinness to see if that helps.

Interesting that Peterborough play Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday.

Will give us a good indication how good they are under Megson.

Maybe they can do us a gig favour.

6 goals in a game, but its still only 3 points

Don't hold your breath. Over the last couple of weeks Sheff weds have lost at home to both Plymouth and Notts County. They haven't made any progress at all under Megson and could well find themselves in a relegation scrap if they don't get a couple of wins sharpish. Anything less than a win when we play them at SMS next week will be a massive disappointment.

So so happy about today.

One thing confusing me, lots of people talking like that's it for Bournemouths automatic push and even the Bournemouth fans saying we'll get prompted in an auto spot. Are we not on the same amount of points at the mo (granted we have games in hand) and therefore as of next weekend Bournemouth could win and we could lose and they would be above us again!!? Surely today doesn't confirm anything apart from they have again failed to beat us....

Quality day. Very good atmosphere from our lot, nothing much from them. A lot more humour from our fans today rather than our usual dull songs. The swaying for Lallana's song looks good. Always looked good when United did it for Ronaldo.

For our second goal, the matey in a cap in their south stand going crazy when we scored, jumping around with no one doing absolutely anything. ****ing funny.

When Rickie scored his freekick, a Bompey fan in the same stand kicked the advertising as hard as he could and it obviously hurt him a lot. The pathetic ball boy who thought he was 'ard by giving everyone the ****** sign, think he got a bit of shock with the reaction he received.

The escort was funny too, some of the comments from that pavilion were hilarious. The group of local pikeys following the escort the whole way back to the station was strange, especially when we got to the station all they did was stand on the other side of the road and watch as we went into the station.

Get in you beauty. Worth the red eye to 3am to stay in touch live. The way its going we might need to win every game from now on as Peterborough seem intent on doing so. They and Udders are a big worry. Shouldn't be in this position but stupid reverses like at home to Plymouth and Rochdale and away to Walsall (to pluck just three out of the air) means there's not much margin for error now as the dash for the tape gets down to business. Happy this morning though.

Thank God that we won, although the scoreline makes it seem as if it was an easier feat than it actually was. But then it was only to be expected that they would be up for it, following all the hype from their idiot Chairman, that idiot Bournemouth Echo journo who thinks that he is a Saints fan and many of their fans who thought that the hierarchy between them and us had changed in their favour.

But three matches played against them this season and three wins for us prove conclusively that it has not changed and that we remain the better team, even though the table had them above us until the final whistle yesterday. Good luck to them for achieving that position in light of their precarious financial history recently and it would be great if they were to go up at the end of the season, provided that we go up ahead of them.

For all their fans' talk about penalties that were not awarded and brilliant saves by Davis and shots that would have gone in on other days, it is the result that counts. We could equally moan about similar incidents in other matches that would have placed us higher in the table and of course the same applies to every other team. As for their complaint that they were a team of cheap players matched against our team of million pound players, for all that he is rated at £10 million and Lallana at £5 million, these are both players brought up through our academy. We were in administration recently as they were, but thankfully we got Liebherr and they got Mitchell.
